Favorite Kind of Knives
Whittlers, especially CASE "Seahorse",
and the Great Eastern "Gippetto" Whittlers.
I also like other utilitarian frames and whatever appeals to me at the time.
You amaze me with with your ability to photoshop those images.
Get ready, gotta feeling we're opening an iKC Gift Album.... at least that's my thinking from reading the comments so far. Gonna need your help to get some up from them to use, eventually folks will see what we've done and will create some of their own too.
I can tell by you picture your not "just plain" anything.. more likely a real entertaining charature to asscociate with and you're not that old but I will call you JJ!
Frank
JJ, we have to bring Shelby along he does not have a Elephant toe or a seahorse but so he will not have a hard time getting accepted, I'll lend him at least a seahorse... I know that's a must for you.
I lost all my photos when my computer died. This way I'm getting that record updated and futhermore saved here off-sight if I have an insurance battle should something bad happen.
Well that's a hard question, the carvin jack is pricey, but the fit and finish is very nice, the locks work well and the blades are very high quality. it can do a lot of work, but its not really a substitute for a good veriety of tools. It can however, when combined with a larger knife, a wood rasp and some sandpaper make just about anything. The sheath is quality but not super robust, and you may want to make a strip of leather that is about 4 inches long, an inch wide with a hole in the end, if you plan to use the push chisels this will stop the opposite end of the handle from ripping up your palm. I think if you have the money, and it is something you would use a lot that its worth the cost.
Hey JJ just dropped in to say hi. Going back to the Camp tommorrow to get ready for gun season for Deer. No Deer with the bow so now its PTT ( pull the Trigger )
I did have trouble signing in the second time and had to re-enter information that resulted in two seperate pages. Do you know of any way to fix this? I go from one to the other when I sign-in. Your page looks great.
thanks for the welcome JJ! liked the jim bowie picture my dad makes knives in Arizona and makes mostly Bowies.I have several of them but I love case knives, and like you anything that strikes my fancy.Like the jim bowie knives that german eye makes or a hubertus knife.Again thanks for the welcome.....Mike
J.J. Thanks.. The logo I had made by a profesional designer and is spectacular! It really is quite eye catching.. As are my knives! lol You have a great collection and some awesome PITS!!! How long have you been carving them?
Ty JJ, hope to have a real pic of my mug up soon. Just haven't had a chance to get my wife to take one yet.
also since no gun/knife show this weekend and if weather permitting I'll get some more knives up in my photo album . Got a couple of really cool ones I think you will like I have been wanting to get put up.
BTW - those peach pits are really cool, do you sell any of them? I might be interested in a few for my table at the shows. Maybe start off with 3-5 and see how it goes.
