You're not the one doing it ????

That's too weird .. I haven't noticed a change in my border .. the length of the body of my iKC pg will change .. but, not the width .. ?? don't know .. that is weird ??

.. and those are the blade tips left over from wharnie mods .. cool .. how do you anchor them in the bone ??

  • In Memoriam

    D ale

Wow .. now that you mention it .. the nail nicks are a little on the weak side !!

Out of 5 marked & 2 known contract knives .. only one (95 prod) has the depth I'd expect .. never really noticed it before .. stands out like a sore thumb now that ya pointed it out .. Thanks !! .. a big bunch !!!

I've got a couple pre 70's "Big Chiefs" .. kinda their sodbuster equivalent .. came in boxes w/ other knives I wanted .. will make a note next time I come across them & post what I find ..

I passed the mini copperlock onto Hannah in March. Been carrying the teardrop since.

Exactly .. 'Old Fashioned" is right .. the liner lock is actually an extra liner .. on one side of the blade is the std liner .. on the other side .. the liner lock mech & then the std liner .. it is a heavier & bulkier frame .. simply more mass in the pocket .. which I'm not fond of .. sure is pretty though

The D2 allows more time to enjoy both the sharpening process & the results .. ie: I invested some effort improving the factory edge .. that was 3 months ago .. I've only had to touch it up since .. and I use it the same as every other EDC I've ever carried .. did I mention how pretty it looks ???

Those Boker fixed blades look very interesting. The "thumb grip" serrations going really far toward the point -- interesting because I sometimes choke up on a small knife like that whittling a pot suspension stick or a tent peg. The mosaic pins are always something I like. To me, I suppose wood is more desirable than bone, but it's not too strong a preference. I've bought a dozen or so small knives like these from Bark River, Blind Horse Knives, our Adriaan Gerber and Matt Lesniewski. I've taken to calling it a small bushcraft knife. Here's one I got recently from BHK, used in the manner suggested:

  • R. A. Tucker

    Thanks,
I probably won't be too active as a member, mostly because my knowledge on knives is limited. Mostly I buy something because it is unusual or "it just looks different". I don't collect any special brand or type of knife & usually am not interested in pocket knives at all. This one was just unusual enough to get a "second look".
  • Freddy Ramos

    Thank you.

Thanks mate. Hey - what's "PSB and Rail Scanning." as a hobby??
  • Bill Harvey

Thanks JJ -love our site -peach pits no less? WAY too small and fiddly for me -but I gots to admire the craftsmanship
  • Sachsun Kelt

Glad to be here mate. Here in Tasmania PSB radio is generally called the C.B. (Citizen's Band). Sometimes my friends and I have a listen to a scanner which picks up the police. It can be quite amusing. Others I know get onto the shortwave radio and try and communicate with the world. That can be fun when you get a good signal with someone in another (English speaking) country.
