Big John, Thank you very much for stopping by and welcoming me to the site. Seems like a great place. It seems all new and shiny. Look forward to visiting down the road. Perhaps one of these days we can catch up at one of the gatherings in Sevierville or Bradford. I'll be sticking close to home till I can straighten out my neck condition. All the best, Fletch

I just added a few photos of my collection, let me know what you think. I just got back into collecting this year and all of the photos are of purchases I made this summer. Some nice... some not so nice, but it is a start, thanks again, John H.

    John,
I could lie and say yes I did, but I'm afraid I dont have the knowledge or the tools to that kind of job. I am excited to see the I KC repair groups, i haven't had a chance to really look through them yet, but I hope to learn a little of the craft. It appears that your very skilled with a knife.

That ain't no lie J.J.! Lots to take in! Not sure if lunch, supper and breakfast is enough, I think I better invest in a catoring service to save wear and tear. LOL! I love the photo layouts here. There are some excellent knives to drool over. Been through 6 handkerchiefs and havn't even scratched the surface yet. Gonna have to get me one of them dentist drool pans if this keeps up. Take care and thanks again to all who have welcomed me in to the forum. Rob

Hope you had a relaxing Thanksgiving with your family. I got back from a quick trip to my inlaws last night. Headed to Memphis tomorrow. Things should slow down after that for the rest of this year....just don't know if that's a good thing or not :)

Thanks so much. Whittling...tried it once about 25yrs. ago. Carved a 5 link chain with a hand showing the peace sign. Don't know what happened to it but looked real cool. Can't seem to sit still long enough since I put that bottle of Uncle Jack, even with the back surgeries.
    Oh well.
    Nice page!!!

JJ .. so far I've found the iKC~fb linking REALLY straight forward .. click on any little blue "f" that appears when your cursor is scrolled into a linkable area .. photos for instnace .. or the little blue "f" that appears below an individual pic .. or the little blue square / white "f" below our names .. (i haven't tried that one yet .. think it does the whole profile) .. anything LINKABLE from here to there will either have a little blue facebook share icon already present or one will appear when your cursor enters the pertinent area .. .. .. .. .. dial up must make ya want to shoot something .. perhaps this will allow you more info sharing in more places while requiring less upload time ?!?!?!?!?

I don't know if those embedded links in the attached .doc will wk or not .. anywho .. the pics to go along w/ the text are either  Kit  or coil spring or spring pocket cutter or cheap lil drill bit and other pics here. So what did Santa have left by the time he made it as far south as the Carolina's ???????

  • John Otis Swatsell

Thank you, Mr. Smith,  I have already been enjoying exploring the site.  There sure are a lot of nice things to see.   I also have read some really interesting materials and watched some videos.  I look forward to seeing and reading more in the future; as well as wishing everyone prosperity in the upcoming New Year.
  • Robert G. Mitchell

Thank you sir, it's great to be here, and a Happy New Year to you and yours!
  • Billy Oneale

That Case red second cut is the only seahorse that I have . I am going to have to get some more. The more I see it, the more I like the pattern.I do have some other whittlers in some imported knives. Mainly Rough Riders and Steel Warriors. Smkw had a drool night on Friday for whittler fans.
  • Billy Oneale

I've seen the Teak Wood ones by Case lately. I tryed to find more before they went into the vault. That is by far the best looking whittler pattern.
