Hi Scott, thanks for the invite. Proud to except and sorry to have the first thing I read on your profile, is that your having surgery. Hope it's not anything too major and that it all works out for ya. Your right about my being a sucker for the old ones and really enjoyed checking out your ol' Elephant Toenails.(and other knives) I have to admit, that's one pattern I've never included in my collection. It hadn't dawned on me until just a short time back how old that pattern is, but it's been around quite a spell, huh? Anyway, I'm real glad to be part of the forum. In the short time I've been here, I've already met up with some mighty fine folks. I haven't tried to post any pics yet but will give it a shot ASAP. Thanks again for the invite and good luck with your surgery, Rob
Thank you kindly for the welcome. Nice place, good people, I'm hoping I'll be able to learn alot here. Good luck with the surgery and hope to talk with you more.
Hi Scott ---- THANKS for the friendship offer and I gladly accept !!! I'm still learning my way around here , so please DO NOT think i'm ignoring you or anyone else !!! Hope you see this message and we can talk more soon --- Jerry aka DaBird
Yes I think it could become a very good show they tried to run it like the blade show just not as big . Had a lot of custom makers there.Maybe next year you can come and do a report on it . I have tables for it . keep up the good work us rebels . ps I read your toenail thing at case collectors fourm that where the rebel comes from I know it fits me
Slow-downs aren't necessarily a bad thing, as long as there is a good rebound. Too many folks are unsure of what the new year will hold for them, in the way of extra taxes and fees. Hope the new Congress can get things going again.
Thanks Scott, Stopped by your page. What a wonderful collection of Toes & I liked the wrench knives as a change up. I wanted to wish you and yours the best of the Holidays and thank you for setting up IKC. A truly sharp place to meet friends. All the best. PS Hagar & I have a lot in common.LOL
Thanks Scott...I've been busy since coming back from vacation in October. Behind on answering PMs, comments, and e-mail and that's just youtube. Besides iKC I've neglected Libre Fighting Academy, Facebook, etc...lol!
You know what, I just can't seem to come up with one single knife I would ask for if money were not an option. Been out of the knife game too long and even when i have money I spend hours looking trying to pick the one I want, that day, at my favourite store.
I think your question "If money were no object what knife would you get for Christmas?" has triggered so many interesting responses that the whole thread would make an excellent book. I bet you've already thought of this. If so, count me as a wild and wooly "YES YES YES! DO IT!".
If you consider each knife chosen as a vote for that knife, they are all votes. I bet Bob Loveless' stuff would come out on top.
But even that aside, to publish each comment along with a photograph of its referenced knife would be fascinating. It would be another reason to buy a fancy book with lots of pictures of knives.
thanks Scott i came acros this site by complete accident lol. Its good to have other fanatics to discuss knives with most of my family and friends think im crazy collecting so many
I caught your comment to JJ .. >2500 .. too cool .. Great News !!!
Zero Spammers = great news too !! Like you mentioned .. hope no-one turned off. They can still view .. just cannot comment till membership approved .. correct ???
I don't remember the exact times but I tried a number of times to log in. Finally, I tried again and the system ask me for some questions, that I thought was about Face book, Then it registered me as a new member. Now that I'm finally how can I get to my old page. Sorry about the problems I told you along time ago my computer skills are low.
2500? It shows "All Members (2,450)" on my end.
You might be shown another total though.
I saw some pics of Alabama after the storm and before it got here. We had a little over 5 inches ourselves. School's out here too. The ice was what stopped us.
The girls were real happy until we told them that they would have to make up the days during Spring Break. Just as well, I got out for the first time, this morning, for a church meeting, and there were still areas of patchy ice. Melts during the day and re-freezes to a nice sheet at night.
Y'all stay safe. Winter's not over and the weather guy is calling for a warmer/dryer winter this year. Better lay in an extra supply of coal. LOL
Scott we got about 8 inches of snow and it's not going away very fast. So we old folks are staying inside where it's warn. We had a good holiday season with kids and grandkids for over a week.
Scott, Thanks again for the warm welcome to the neighborhood and my sincerest compliments on this site and your Elephant Toenails site! What a mouth watering collection you have and an enviable breadth of knowledge that I know I will benefit from going forward. Keep up the good work, or keep having fun rather!
agree! focused on what you like the most. I used to like getting as more varieties as i could, and some of them turned out to be not my liking :(
It seems like you are focusing on case pocket knife?
Swam in the waters of Guntersville and flew into Talledago to see a race. You my friend live in great state, and you all sure know how to play football. After last nights show I had to pull out some stag today and do a little cleaning.I remember the time I would have been buying like crazy last night. Tony and Jay were having a good time. Take care.
Scott, Thanks for the welcome. I gotta get the Schrade a holics to come on over and take a look around. I see BRL and Trent bouncing in and out.
