i love collecting knifes i been a collector for about 20 years. it started when my dad gave my first knife. it was a old timer 4 blade congress it was so sharp i almost cut my finger off cutting twine on a hay bale. i was in a hurry and cut the string with the knife backwards. it clamped down on my finger thats when i started to appreciate knifes.and also lock blades...
Thanks Alot for checking out my knives! Its my pleasure to share them with you guys and gals. I just started adding pics yesterday so I've got several more to post. You've got some fine knives yourself.
I haven't been selling any of my knife collection for a while, but I have a bunch of Seahorse Whittlers. If you'll let me know which ones you're interested in, I can let you know if I have it, and give you a price.
thanks for the comment, stephen! my page is still a work in progress, but it's coming along. so far i'm really enjoying this little community. i'm still not quite sure how i stumbled upon this place, but i'm sure glad i did! here's wishing you a great evening!
thanks for the kind words, stephen. it's really good to be here. heck! at the age of 65 it's good to be anywhere -- i never thought i'd see 20! i feel fortunate to still be fogging up the mirror, if you know what i mean.
Thanks Stephen I do have a few SOG folders,Arcitech,Mini Vulcan,Topo and a a couple of Flashes.Im not a big fixed blade collector but I do have some and like to do custom work on them.Id be glad to join your SOG group and learn a little more about them and meet new friends. Terry

Thanks for the comments on the "muskrat" & the "button Lock" folder. I have not found out how many Muskrats Case handled this way. The handle design & bolster etch caught my eye so I decided I needed to add it to my muskrat collection. The Button Lock Folder I did for my son-in-law in Georgia who is a fan of Georgia Tech Aand Itried to get the handles as close to the school colors that I could find. Thanks again.
Unfortunately I don't have a dog anymore. I would really like one, and Huskys are my favourites. But both my husband and I are working and you can't leave a dog alone all day in a house as small as ours. Especially not a husky. :-)
You asked about the Yellow Smooth bone #72 lockback picture that I posted. I am told by Greg at TSA that this knife was likely a pre-production prototype for the Yellow Rose. I got the knife from Greg and he got it from Ken Daniels. That is why it has the bomb shield and why it does not have the Yellow Rose shield or blade etch. It has the standard Northfield blade etch. At first when I got it I thought that it might have been someones attempt at a custom job. I have been slow to warm up to the Yellow Rose series but I like them now. I used to like the Banana Peel Yellow bone handles but didn't like the Yellow Rose etch or shield. Now I like them and it's hard to find them of course. I got really lucky with this knife and the YR standard issue #72 that I got from Greg too. Thanks for all of your kind words on my knives sir. I have turned into a bit of a GEC fanatic! Take care, Tom
Thanks to all collectors . Am very busy this season. got an order for 500 neck knives from Springfield Leather Co. I have several series knives not on line as I am waiting to update . Also I have 3 new designs I came up with this winter. I'm doing a lot of wholesale business this summer also , so please be patiant. I should have my web site reorganised soon. Thanks again. Please forward to all club members. Ol Mizzoura David Allan Durr
I remember my granddad hitting 65 and my amazement. I must go camping more, and think of some new gadget to buy. My wife does not understand why I put a sack of axes, a sack of knives and hatchets, compasses, GPSs, whistle and survival manual when all I can do is camp a few yards from the back of my F-150 Ford, and there is a passable cafe or two within 5 miles.
Managed to add a big chinese bowie of quality. Those guys are definitely qjnning up the learning curve, while keeping a bit of local flavor like exoric wood handles. Your greets made my day, amigo!
