Pete, the Lacewood Barlow was a gift from a friend but the stats I have are;
#06292, 72009 SS 12/13/2006 It was a regular production piece, because I have a tiny toothpick in Lacewood also.the number for that one is #06294 so they were produced in 2006.
You may want to check out ( Collector knives. net ) they have some older ones from time to time at
Peter, Glad to add you as a friend. In my recent purchases photo - you asked about the one to the right - if that is the one with the long shield, that's a real nice Cattaraugus. Ken
Peter, I don't seem to know how to reply in a private message but glad to get your message. Hope you get all your knives and books back. yes I do ebay and get most of my knives from there. You take care Pete. Ken
yes .i Had one in the early years of my youth, however i was never able to use it. thy didn't allow bow fishing here back in the mid 60s. do take it out and use it, id love to see the catch.
Peter, Thanks for the "friend". Thank you very much for the Easton Knife show reminder. Forgot all about it. Went there a couple years ago. Will try to make it. I checked online and the dates (September 28, 29 2013) look good. I think Ryan Daniels was at the last Easton show I attended.
I won my Improved muskrat on Ebay as well. It was in mint condition, as if it was never carried, the auction did not say this I don't think. On top of that, it went at a lower price than other Muskrats that were not in as good a condition.
Thanks for the invite. Didn't know if anyone would like the journal notes as they are long. Still a couple of more post to complete this trip. I know how much I enjoyed it and believe that there are a few people out there who might as well.
Thanks my friend, I enjoy looking and learning. Don't get enough time to enjoy iKC as I would like but amazed at all the knowledge you can get from here. I really like hearing what other collectors find interesting. I like American made knives, especially older ones, and black powder items.

Peter, if it's Muskrat Man, he will not work on the knives which I need repaired. Two or three of the knives are manufactured by Imperial.

yes Peter ,,, it was forged from beginning and took a lot of time and effort to make final pattern ,,,
It is always difficult to control the layers and pattern ...
Blade was not forged to shape and it was cut from the final billet,,,

I'm a fan of Queen Cutlery myself.
That "Queen City" over "Titusville, Pa" stamping you inquired about is older than I am .. most likely 1922~1945 .. somewhere in there.
I need to snap a decent pic of the entire knife & post it. I'll see if I can't do just that in the near future.

Peter, I found this for Ohio Knife Company. Don't know if the knife was made by them or for them.
