Maybe the NKCA has hit bottom and is on the way up.I hope Bruce can help with the shows,he announced at Parker`s he was going to promote the NKCA shows in the future and wanted dealers to make a commitment to come.It can only get better.
It doesn't offend me at all Gary.I'm just pointing out the fact that your post breaks the rules of the forum.Look at the tabs at the top of every page, the next to last tab is labeled "Rules". The rule I'm referring to is Rule number three.
As an uthorized Distributor for Great Eastern Cutlery,I have MANY knives for sale. I don't advertise them on this site because I CHOOSE to fllow the RULES.
Thr very first words on your post are "For Sale". Not "For Show and Tell".
Hey Gary!! Happy New Year, I saw a prototype of the Lion Steel/Spyderco folder on YouTube. It appears to have more Lion Steel influences than Spyderco, have you seen any?
Congrats on being elected as presidrnt of NKCA. I wish you, the other Officers and the Board the best of luck in trying to salvage what should have been to us knife collectors & makers what the NRA is to us that have guns also. I respectfully ask that NKCA does not plan any Knife Shows for the last weekend in August on behalf of the Central Kentucky Knife Club.
The CKKC Knife show is the last weekend in August this year (2011) and 2012 in Lexington. Unless there are 2 gary Kennedys, I believe you had 3 tables at our show last year. I Wioll be doing a mailing in the next couple of weeks to everyone that is on our show list.
Snow - Oh-Yeah I saw that stuff one time - actually about 75 miles east of me they get 50/60 feet - I'm in the Valley of Nothern California - we have been in a wet pattern for a couple of weeks - sunshine & 70 today - maybe 80 by Thursday - when the rain stops here, it flat stops till next winter - It gets Hot & Dry really fast.
Gary,
Things are still very much in reverse here.... no longer doing the home builder thing.....strictly knives. I am giving serious thought to doing the knife shows again... may even call Buz today for the Parker Show availability. We are still battling in Court for adoption . We are paying way but the biological Mother gets pro-bone welfare attorneys.....bummer.

Thanks for the birthday wish Gary. Seems they keep coming faster & faster. We lost one of our regulars at our show. Morris Pulliam passed away on May 11.
Thanks. I guess I got him started with the ka-bars maybe 3o years back. I've gotten away from the knives and he has now gotten his interest rekindled. I still like knives of course but I haven't been very active for a long time. I am pleased that he is carrying the torch. Knowledge has passed me by. I need to go to him now for info. I still do the flea markets and antique shows. I specialize in old tools mostly. Farm implement wrenches etc. Rarely find good old knives.
