Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

A friend of mine had me make a knife to his specs a year or so back.
He loves it. It's forged Ladder damascus with a piece of wood that he got for it.
However it's so nice he's kind of affraid to use it. So I made him an UGLY knife just so he'd have something to beat on.

I forged an old nicholson file to shape. Ground it flat with grit 40 and left it at that. Gave it a cotton cordwrap with a CA glue soaked front piece. And made a quick kydex sheath.

The good thing about it though, it's very comfortable in the hand. The Kydex fits like a glove and the grind is thin enough that it'll cut VERY well.

But yes, it's kind of ugly.

I plan on making more similar simple "budget" knives for the real hardworking man who just wants a no nonsense cutter.
