I cleaned it up  and you can see  the edge it looks like it was ran through a electric sharpener. It looks like it did'nt fit all the way in. So you can see were the stones on the sharpener started.

I believe this to be an old one. It has Schrade in large letters on the blade and U.S.A. and 165 underneath that. And the finger guard is in two pieces. The finger guard looks to be pinned also. And a Old Timer shield is on the handle. The handle and blade are marked on the other side of the knife than whats in the pic. Please let me know what year you think it's from if you need another pic I can post one Thanks.

Is that a new "Taylor -Schrade" with a stainless blade, or an old one?

As far as the old ones go.....We used to sell a ton of  the Old Timer Woodsman, and Sharpfingers (we could hardly keep Sharpfingers in stock!), way back when....along with tons of Old Timer pocket knives. The old ones were 1095 carbon steel....many guys would swear by it...and look at us like we were nuts if we showed them an Uncle Henry with stainless blades! Nice Thorvan.

I bought this with the Lakota. And get this the guy was getting ready to go hunting. Both knives $25.00.

Thats something Thorvan.  You dont see too many Old timer fixed blades, mostly the pocket knives.
