Hi Scott, hoping that you and yours are all safe and sound. My heart goes out to all of those who suffered this devastating tornado in your home state of Alabama.

Scott, I had to come here to answer you. Whenever I try to message or reply from my message section, it does nothing. I have to go to the home page of the person I want to leave a message for and leave it there. I tried to reply from the message area and it did nothing. I also had some trouble adding a pic on the quick add. It did nothing also.

Hi Scott, thanks for the message. I try to refer people to this forum, you guys are all really nice and make people feel welcome here. SO many forums are full of mean spiteful people who are always looking to call people out for stupid things, like a typo.

I think you are a nice bunch of people on here.

Jody :)

Things have been a little rocky in the carbon steel knife group but I think, I have got things smoothed out. I wish you would keep an eye on things in case we need help to  make things  play out with everyone having a smiling face. Thanks

Hi, Scott.

I've been a member for a very short time now, but I'm already thrilled at all the welcome messages I've received. I have something I'd like to contribute.

I am a librarian by profession and I catalog as a hobby. Wines, movies, books, photos -- and my knife collection. I've created a database to record the details of my knives. It has helped me stay organized, and I find it fun!

I have already shared it with one iKC member, and I'd like to share it with any other interested members, free of charge, of course. It was written in Microsoft Access 2003, but I believe it can be opened with the Open Office free database application,  Base. I can provide the link to Open Office as well.

You have a very well moderated group here, and I thought I'd contact you privately to make this offer to see if you were interested, if the group might be interested, and how I might best share the software. I could pass it to you to make available right here at iKC, or I can put it in the cloud and give members the link to find it. What do you think?

Thank you for the great welcome and for running a terrific group!

Scott,

Thanks for approving my membership. I'm looking forward to meeting fellow members and getting some questions answered. My dad turned me on to knife collecting many years ago, and I've already told him, my brothers, and my nephew, all collectors, about iKnife Collector.
