DLKG and Lars are both fantastic ambassadors for iKC. Me, I just drive the bus , the members do all the work so we can all have some fun. So, have some fun here !
What Lars said! Seriously, Lars is a great ambassador for this forum, & a friendly & interesting person at that. As are most of the people on iKC, to the point where I'd say this is the nicest knife forum there is.
And the members aren't just nice, they're knowledgeable as well. I've been surprised how quickly some questions have been answered here, and often in great detail.
Also, if you'll look in the Top Content bar right now (left side bar), there are multiple posts about what Knife Rights is currently up to. Knife Rights is one of the 2 big knife Rights organizations (the name is quite descriptive!). The guy who posted these items is Doug Ritter, knife designer, survivalist, and knife advocate -- & the head of Knife Rights. I've actually had direct discussions with Mr. Ritter here regarding aspects of Knife Rights policies & approaches, and he's been really detailed in his responses, and follow-up questions. It's really cool to have these interactions with him, & I'm not sure if that's true of the other forums.
Anyway, I know I went on a bit there, but Welcome!
Let's see, you like fixed blades and pocket knives - cool! There is plenty of both around here, so you should feel right at home. Feel free to browse around and join some groups that may interest you, add comments to any threads of interest, ask questions, or decorate your personal page here.
Give a shout if you have any questions - always someone around who help out.
