I'm sure you did... the one I say was maybe 3/4 of an inch long closed. Less than 2" long fully opened and ready for use. It was the first one I have seen.
There are currently 2 up on ebay. One about 15cm and the other 18.5 I think. One not marked by maker at $50 something and the other Marke as this one is for about $80.
Not familiar with the marked on these but I suppose anything under about $75 for one of these is good, depending on condition.
Heck I would do the HAPPY dance too upon finding something like this for a great price.

Thanks Rick ... they are neat.

pictured is 3.5" closed, 5.5" OAL. I've seen pics of larger ones and have read of ~ 12" models being produced.

I believe the really small ones like you described are the most difficult to find.

What's the market demanding these days ???

I found mine in an out of the way antique store. It was labeled "antique fisherman's knife". I payed the marked price. I'm not sure they knew what it was.

upon exiting ... I did the YES dance !!!

Dale, I saw one of these this weekend at a gun show on Saturday and yesterday wouldn't you know that I started reading a recent issue of Blade magazine and they had this barrel knife featured in their "what is it" column. Now I see one here today on IKC... How funny that in three days I see more of these around when I had never seen any before.
Really cool knife and I loved the way that it was built. Not only that but these are TINY!!! open and ready to use they are just a bit over an inch long.
I really would like to get lucky and find one of these sometime. It is a remarkable specimen of what creative minds can do.
