This one is a bit more interesting I think.   It has a marking  on the blade:  Tiger Solingen. It  is  clearly  well  used.  I  found it with my dad's  WWII "bring back" stuff. Continue

Lookin' for help re old J. Marttiini knife

Gang, found this knife in my dad's "bring back" stuff from WWII. Considering it was with his other WWII items I'm guessing that it is of that vintage.....but not sure at all. I intend to sell the knife but don't want to misrepresent what it is or its vintage. Is there a way to determine the approximate time of it's origin. Also, I see something that looks like a signature that I outlined on one of the photos----is that likely to be the engraver's signature? Any info at all about the knife is…See More

"understood, i'll just  focus  on trying to  get the  marking cleaned enough to be able to  take a good photo of it; otherwise i'll leave it in its  current condition. thks"

"You should be careful on how you "clean up" a vintage knife, it can actually lower any collector value it may have."
