Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

This year iKnifeCollector is able to offer you a J.Mutz Custom.

Thanks to everyone that helped this decision happen.

Confirmed price is $112.00 plus shipping.

Payment is due no later than August 1, 2013

The body and bolsters are milled 416 the blade is 154CPM, with a 1/2 stop.  It is 3 5/8 closed and it is a Stag Cut Red Bone. Because this would be custom we could not order any more than 50 knives and his commitment is that he could deliver in September (maybe sooner but that a lot to get made in a short time).  There will be an iKC certificate with each knife signed by me.

45 of the 50 have been committed so there are only a few available.  Right now we will offer one per member.  For those of you wishing a second I have you on the list if there are still some available

I just had to share with you the warranty info on Jeff's page

It has a complete lifetime warranty on materials and craftsmanship. Any malfunction due to materials or craftsmanship under normal using conditions will be repaired for free. You can ship your product to the address found on this website but please contact us first so we know to watch for your returned item.

The "Catch" - Yes, sorry folks but we have a loophole to our warranty. The "lifetime" in "lifetime warranty" means Jeff's lifetime. Sorry but unfortunately when Jeff takes up residence at Boot Hill there will be no one to repair your product for free. Jeff's son Dylon is going to college and has no interest in continuing Jeff's business. But Jeff hopes to be able to warranty your products for many years to come!

Robert,  the Kershaw was made for the group " Indiana Knifers".  The First club knife was this---

Yes this was the First Club knife but the Kershaw was the FIRST knife made by people thru iKC then I believe the Luca knife came next

My 2012 iKC knife sees a LOT of usage cutting leather when I'm sheathmaking.

Max you are right.  The official first knife was the toenail.  The first unofficial iKC sanctioned knife was Kershaw, then the Luca Toenail.

Well, Everybody, I can see how anxious we all are to get this "Baby" home where it belongs.

As for me, I will play with the knife but probably not use it. It will be passed on to one of my sons or grandchildren. What they decide to do with it will be their decision. I just cannot bring myself to use such a fine piece of craftsmanship/art.

As I tell my family, things will work out (not always the way we want), but they will work out.

Thanks, Jan, for keeping us updated and informed.

Is it time to start talking about the, '2014' knife ?

Suggest a 'camper' variant.

Blade / Saw blade / cap lifter / cork screw  ???

The 2013 one, will either come, or it won't.

If it doesn't, I have total faith the money paid will be refunded.

It absolutley will Tom, but I am keeping the faith also

do anyone have the first one for sall anywere.I've looked around and none to bo found

Elbin,

Good to see you!  I do not, but let me check around and see if I can locate one

Yeah a camper knife for 2014 might have more appeal internationally. Might i suggest a burl wood handle, carbon blades and stainless utility tools. Nickel silver bolsters and brass liners. Some kind of sheild. Plenty of time to hash this out.

I, too, would like a camper/scout knife.  Carbon blades and brass liners appeal to me.  It would nice if the knife does not overlap too much with the existing scout/Swiss Army knives already out there.

Well, I was thinking, (I Know always a dangerous thing), anyway, how about a, ‘list’ of things wanted?

This list, may, or may not work. But my thoughts are:
Each person, copies the below in their post, Then changes the Number, in any of the categories, or even Adds categories/sub-categories, to the list.
    (ONE number Per Person)

That way, Jan, (who I am guessing is doing all the work collecting the preferences)
will have a good idea of the majority of peoples wishes.
If you change you mind, then re-post, with the changes.
If in a category, you will accept more than one choice, PUT IN IN.
For example, you would accept,  any Bone/Wood/Antler, increase the number by one, for Each.

Suggest, (if you all think this will work), that someone starts a new thread:
 “2014 Club Knife”.
