Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

This year iKnifeCollector is able to offer you a J.Mutz Custom.

Thanks to everyone that helped this decision happen.

Confirmed price is $112.00 plus shipping.

Payment is due no later than August 1, 2013

The body and bolsters are milled 416 the blade is 154CPM, with a 1/2 stop.  It is 3 5/8 closed and it is a Stag Cut Red Bone. Because this would be custom we could not order any more than 50 knives and his commitment is that he could deliver in September (maybe sooner but that a lot to get made in a short time).  There will be an iKC certificate with each knife signed by me.

45 of the 50 have been committed so there are only a few available.  Right now we will offer one per member.  For those of you wishing a second I have you on the list if there are still some available

I just had to share with you the warranty info on Jeff's page

It has a complete lifetime warranty on materials and craftsmanship. Any malfunction due to materials or craftsmanship under normal using conditions will be repaired for free. You can ship your product to the address found on this website but please contact us first so we know to watch for your returned item.

The "Catch" - Yes, sorry folks but we have a loophole to our warranty. The "lifetime" in "lifetime warranty" means Jeff's lifetime. Sorry but unfortunately when Jeff takes up residence at Boot Hill there will be no one to repair your product for free. Jeff's son Dylon is going to college and has no interest in continuing Jeff's business. But Jeff hopes to be able to warranty your products for many years to come!

We can revisit any product they have Brad.  I am willing to talk with Ken about whatever we decide

Revisit? Are we giving up the hope for the Mutz knife then?

Let's hold out for a little longer and see what happends.

not giving up yet Alexander, they are looking at 2014

Jan, what date are you setting as a give-up date? have you heard anythimg? at all? just wondering. it will be 5 months on the 29th for me. paid june 29th .. i think that will be my cut-off date if nothing works out. sound fair?... or are we thinking roll-over for 2014  knife? or would that be too confusing.. just thinking ahead.

Who are they when you say they are looking at 2014.

I am with Jeff folks. I hope there is no crisis going on with Mr Mutz but I think we all deserve an honest explanation. To cut off communication is inexcusable as far as I am concerned. Everyone has been gracious about this an no one wants to put Jan in a bind but this is getting old. I could go on but I will spare you all. Lol

... tom..i have sadly seen lots and lots of lists just like that...and for many reasons them not work.... they seem like great ideas.they always seem like they could work. ...

Hi Peter,

I Agree and Disagree. I have seen  many lists like this fail,

and just as many succeed. (To all degrees up & down, and in the middle)

Of course this is a first, in that it, polls/questions a club knife decision, which has international

What it all comes down to, is the people using the lists.

But, maybe people will use this, maybe not.

Maybe it will help Jan, maybe not.

I'll give it a shot, Tom:  If you hit "Reply" to my post, you can change the numbers or add more categories - just add one number to what is there.

I agree with Peter that this could get cumbersome, and adding bone color or other considerations not thought of by previous respondents would be revisited (re-posted) to "vote" on the new information, but maybe bone color, etc. could be done once a particular knife is selected.

Queen Cutlery sounds fine to me as the maker.

GEC would work if 1095 Carbon is chosen.

Don't know what the minimum order is for W.R. Case.

Well, I was thinking, (I Know always a dangerous thing), anyway, how about a, ‘list’ of things wanted?

This list, may, or may not work. But my thoughts are:
Each person, copies the below in their post, Then changes the Number, in any of the categories, or even Adds categories/sub-categories, to the list.
    (ONE number Per Person)

That way, Jan, (who I am guessing is doing all the work collecting the preferences)
will have a good idea of the majority of peoples wishes.
If you change you mind, then re-post, with the changes.
If in a category, you will accept more than one choice, PUT IN IN.
For example, you would accept,  any Bone/Wood/Antler, increase the number by one, for Each.

Suggest, (if you all think this will work), that someone starts a new thread:
 “2014 Club Knife”.

I have a UPS account if shipping is the hold up?

Well, I'll happily wait untill the end of the week. But if there's no news by them I agree with a previous poster in that we should start thinking about letting people have their money back.

Well that is fantastic. Saves me a trip, I would not have been personable under the circumstances that might have spurred my visit. But, if he goes incommunicado again, we cut bait. These people have have waited long enough.
