No, John! You're not having a senior moment. Indeed, that was the knife I carried during my service 63-66. And, since mine seems to have sprouted legs and walked away, I am on the hunt for another one. Stag pre 64, like mine was. They sure do command some high prices nowadays! If I remember correctly, I paid less than $20 for mine when I was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY.

Michael, what is the age of this beauty? It looks brand new! *drool*

Before anyone else catches my "senior moment"--- The Puma White Hunter was indeed carried by many of our honored vets, just not in WWII  (mea culpa) on my part. The Puma White Hunter was intrododucedf in 1956, which is a little late for WWII. (sorry). It was a popular knife among soldiers in future times, including my good fiend, Ron Cooper, if I am not having yet another "senior moment" !! LOL

Yes the Puma knife has been around for quite awhile....this one is very nice. I enjoyed using the one that I have...it sure did a few Moose and Bear easily...Congrats!

Michael, love that Puma!!  40 years ago, I used to sell Pumas for KMart Sporting Goods in Decatur, IL, just down the road from us. If I had known my head from a hatrack back then, I would have bought every darn Puma that ever came into my store !! The White Hunter is IMHO the flagship of Puma's line, and was carried by many of our honored vets in WWII. Great knife, my friend !!

The White Hunter seems to be the crown jewel of Puma and this is sure a great one!
