Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Good Morning and welcome to our first contest of the year 2014.  Let's have some fun!

On January 14, 2014 The Shot Show begins.  We all know this will bring out many new designs from virtually all manufactures.  Just take a look at who attends is massive show and you can get an idea of how many designs are unveiled.

So here is your challenge, from today through midnight EST on the 13th of January

  • come into the discussion and tell me what YOU want to see unveiled. Give me the company Name, steel and blade style. For every day you submit an entry, you get a ticket in the drawing.

One entry per person per day.

Be sure to stay tuned here on the 14th, I will have a discussion going about who has released what and how to find the info on the web.  I will also be releasing the name of the lucky member to win the iKC Gear.

I am seeing some wonderful ideas.  Have a couple of my own but I will wait to tell you what they are.  Both Case and Queen are already aware we are doing this, I will try to contact Buck and GEC tonight to let them know.  Keep it up!  Remember every day you enter you get a ticket.  Thanks

I would love to see a company look at the knife laws of major cities, maybe even speak with AKTI and design a folder that is legal to carry in a majority of cities.  I realize that advertising this is probably not possible because of the legal issues.... But a quick to deploy, modern knife, with the law in mind would be something I would be very happy to buy and carry.  If locks are out, then a strong back spring, if thumbstuds are out, then some other one hand opening design.... made with good steel and higher end handles.  I think law enforcement officers are more likely to "understand" a high end knife... than a more tactical street looking knife.... I would pay more for a better made knife.... imho....

I would like to see Buck introduce a new survival/tactical knife with a new locking system with 420HC steel.

Queen 2 blade sowbelly jack with wharnecliffe master blade Spey secondary using cm154 steel
With SCROLLED nickel silver liners and pins, pinned shield chosen by Ken of course, and set on
Blue ice pearl handles dimpled NS bolsters limited production of course
Who really makes a better sow ? Queen hard to beat
DID I SAY SCROLLED LINERS. LOL just checking

I would like to see a Schatt & Morgan pattern 2076 1/4 jumbo 1/2 whittler in d-2 or ATS-34, with gnarly stag handles. It is one of their old patterns, and was four inches long.

An abalone Sway Back gent nickle silver liners scrolled bolsters

I would like to see a new Buck filet knife like the Clearwater with a double edged blade in 420HC steel.

I would  like to see Rough Riders made in the US.  420HC steel would be good.  All blade styles.  I would be willing to pay more for them.

How about a Buck USA made Stockman with S.S. blades and Buffalo horn scales?

  • Data (C Thomas)

look what we just did there . . . a 3 3/4 long congress whittler in S30V with Sheffield style bolsters. That would be awesome!

  • Greg Dash

  • Data (C Thomas)

    and stag handles!

Wonder if they could put a Wharncliffe on that?
