Well what browser are you using? You might try a different one. I was able to chat this am on Firefox. You might try Chrome as well. Just a thought. I have checked the ning site but there are no outstanding problems.

I'm using Safari. I think my problem is with some updates I recently did.

Stephen, were the updates to Safari?  have you tried another Browser yet?  Let me know, I want to get you back up and running with us

Stephen I just thought of something.  Try clearing your cache and cookies

That's a good suggestion Jan, sometimes clearing those will greatly increase speed.  Stephen you are right on the money usually the latest update starts to bomb your system. back it out and you should be good to go!

I think Cesar just figured out how to chat on his iPad, he might have an idea if you don't want to switch browsers. I don't use Apple at all, so I can't say much about Safari.

Yes now that I am on an IPad life is a bit different. Yes it's all about Safari, Apples. Answer to the browser wars. I found success with a product called Puffin. Also a browser, there is a Free version that comes with it own app. Just go to the Apple store to download it. Here is what I found though, so much of iKC is Flash based you need the Flash version of Puffin. Drat, yes it is .99 and I think 2.99 a year I think after 6 months.
What you see is sent to the Puffin Servers and it is Read and returned.

Believe it or not I prefer to use Safari in chat. It seems faster and less buggy than Puffin.

On a side note I tried Chrome optimized for IOS but found it does not work as advertised!

Steve;  I have experienced the same problem with being able to chat. I joined in the conversation for some time but for the last six months no luck.I Can't ecven tell if the others are chatting.  Please don't tell m e about browsers and other things that I don't have a clue about. All I want is to join in the chat.thats it. Email me at shadrach@frontiernet.net  . As you can tell I am not computer literate. Just barely know enough to access the internet. Thanks   Carson Klitz

Carson, If you got to the chat button at the top of the page what happens?

Carson, hate to say it, but the choice of browsers does make a difference.However, I would be more than happy to show you how to set up a new one. Even with limited computer savvy, it's not hard. Answer Jan, and if all else fails, I will help you get up and running!
