2014 iKC knife...TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE

The time has come to start the discussion on the 2014 iKC knife.

I would again like to shoot for August/Sept delivery date. Something to remember while we talk about this is that a short run of only 50 or so knives means we need to tie in with a maker that is already running a knife and tweak that one to make it our own. The reason for this is most SFO's require a minimum order of 250 or more. Also I would like to keep it less than $125.00 delivered to you. I have some eyes checking out whats available at a factory or two but always love to hear your ideas. Remember, this is YOUR knife

We have had some beautiful knives the last 3 years. We like bone handles. Obviously.

Last year's knife had some bonus details that blew our expectations out of the water(Scrolled liners & vintage tang stamp). I wouldn't object to another Daniels Family product if Ken could "WOW" us again (Jan would have to be "Wowed" first of course). Another pattern, perhaps smaller, multi-blade with a bale? The Jr. Scout looks very nice. I see they added a Deep carry pocket clip to the Q-Tac, but I know a locking blade will not do for some of our European cousins.

I am pleased with attention to detail concerning fit & finish. Materials are always a factor for users, but eye candy is all about the finish details.

Bring it on Daniels family, try to surprise us again.

Just got an A.G.Russell catalog today and saw some Queen knives with some great looking ram's horn handles. Maybe the Daniels family could cook up a nice recipe with that for a special club knife.

I have been rather silent in this because I truly wanted to hear your thoughts. Right now I have Queen investigating the possibilities of either a barlow or stockman. This does not mean we are done so dont stop the ideas!
