What can I say...Steve is a outstanding individual...and I am glad that I can call him a friend...here and on Facebook...lol

Good Job Steve, I really enjoy the site, and when I see you on here it makes me feel at home. Keep up the good work.

Ok, here's the gossip....I sent Hog a knife once.....

And he actually USED it! (the nerve!) I mean he didn't even put it up on his wall or baby it and put it into his safe or anything!

Honestly though. I love chatting with Steve. He's a great listener(/reader?) and always asks loads of questions about things he's looking to learn about.

Thanks for making iKC a better place Steve!

The contributions that Steve has made and is making to IKC cannot be measured.  He has been a faithful, competent, friendly, very knowledgeable, and a positive influence on this knife club for years.  He is a friend to everyone and a joy to know.  So thank you Steve for all you do.  The club would significantly diminish without you.

Sorry I waited till Monday. Steve you are the man for the job. You have proven it time and again. All a person can say is thanks for all you do.

*sigh* Now he's gonna have a swelled head and be impossible to live with!! LOL If only you all saw what all Steve does, you'd thank him twice. Great job on his part, and a thank you or two from me.

I wanted to talk about this here because it reminds me of how much we have to be grateful for with our own Steve "Hog" Hanner.

Hog has made what for both he and I was a heart wrenching decision.  He will remain here with us as a family member but he has some obligations that make being our manager difficult.  We all understand time constraints.  I for one will always be grateful for the warm welcome he gave me when I joined, the support when I became owner and the wisdom he has imparted and shared through the years.

From the bottom of heart he will always be a very large part of iKC and it remains an honor to have him here with us

Jan

Steve...I hope you know that if you ever need anything, you have but to ask. Life is full of tough decisions, but knowing you have the support of friends and family makes a huge difference. Here's hoping things level out and we find you back with us soon!

I am proud to call Hog my friend- I grew up on a farm and know the long hours and backbreaking labor it entails-Still, Hog managed to find the time to successfully monitor the goings on here, always alert to the  needs of a new or existing member. I can't count the times that he sent me a PM with a request to help with an ID on a knife I might have missed otherwise-- Hog was and is always at the top of his game-- Best wishes for all your endeavors in the future- You always have friends & family here !!

IN whatever capacity Hog chooses to honor us with his presence  with- He is still -THE ONE, THE ONLY-FARMER IN THE DELL- Loving praise from a friend-

Hog - You have been an awesome manager at iKC and you are a true friend. You will forever be known as a warm welcome, to all whom you have welcomed here. As you pursue different opportunities in your life, remember, you will always be a huge part of iKC and your friend's live here. I pray that you are Blessed in all that you do. Your friend ~ Jeremy

Steve and I have been friends for what seems like forever.  We've belonged to several of the knife forums, throughout the years but iKC made us neighbors, in this community.  And we know that good neighbors are hard to come by.  Goog luck ol buddy, stop by when you can, "We'll keep the lights on for ya".
