Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hello SAK fan,
Actually my favorite SAKs are the different alox models. As an example of the colors I attach a pic of my farmers. Actually I have 4 colors.

See more colored alox pics in my album.

Do you also have alox SAKs, perhaps in other colors?
Please show me them.

This lime-green Wilderness was produced 2014 in a small quantity for a Chinese knife forum. It's the fifth Wilderness in my collection. Below the whole Wilderness family.

Those are great lookers, Martin.  Blade choices are also cool!

I'll second what Toby has said - I love that blade pattern and the colors, esp. the lime green, rock hard! Good show, Martin!

Here is mine. i picked it up at a gun show a few months back. i wanted a durable compact knife for my pocket and this is perfect. its a '95 Wenger.

That's a good one Michael.  If I'm correct, that is the Standard Issue, Wenger version of the Victorinox Pioneer.  They are getting harder and harder to come by.

i think you are correct, its the standard. i dont think it saw much use just had to clean the dirt from the checkering. The blade has the typical ding from the lanyard ring, that why i have the short lanyard on it, it reminds me to move it.

@ Tobias and Ron Thanks!

@ Michael, Therefore I prefer the Pioneer with the ring and not the SI with bail :-)

Michael,

Chunking the edge on the main blade of the Standard Issue is a very common occurrence. I speak from personal experience. That's why I removed the bail on mine. Sounds like you're on the right track now with the combination lanyard/reminder you've placed on yours.

Happy New Year!

Here's my SI...

As you can see I have utilized the hole where the bail used to be to insert a leather lanyard - That's my reminder!

Very nice Ron.

Here one of my Pioneers with lanyard.

Love those colors, Martin! Who did those custom scales on your Pioneer? Or is that one of Victorinox exclusive limited runs that came that way? One day I hope to persuade you into taking a family photograph of ALL your alox knives. And I know, or can imagine, what kind of a chore that would be to get them all out and assembled for the group shot. But, man oh man! THAT would be an all time photograph! One day...one day. *(he said, with fingers crossed)

Cheers, mate! Happy New Year!

Yes that's one of the special limited run.

We will see one day perhaps.... But on that photo you could not see much, because with all these knives together it would be difficult to distinguish one from other, on one photo only they would show up to tiny. ;-)

When i got mine it already had a small ding, it only took me once quick closing to fiqure out where it came from, oops. I debated taking off the bail but decided to try the 'reminder' first. So far it works for me. As a designer by trade I do like the Victorinox ring much better. Maybe ill find one of those at a show too.
