A Wisconsin deer hunter was attacked and injured by a doe he had shot with his crossbow.  He was trailing it and it leaped out on him.

Does do fight.  I have gotten multiple pictures of them fighting on my game cameras.  They rear up on their hind legs and paw at each other with their front legs.  Here is one example.

I had not heard of a deer attaching a hunter before but I once read about a hunter who shot a buck.  He laid his rifle across its antlers to take a picture.  The buck jumped up and ran off with his rifle still on its antlers.

Yes, I have seen this as well with goats, they rear up and come down leading with their horns and bang the other goats horns. When both goats do it , it can be quite loud and its best to stay out of the way.

What they are doing essentially is creating a pecking order, so to speak. One is basically saying, I am bigger and higher in the food chain!
