One of my favourites and one of the few that I'll never give up is this simple A.G. Russell One Hand knife.

Why is it my favourite?

Well, the mechanism is INSPIRED. I could sit and open and close this thing one handed all day long and not get sick of it.

It weighs virtually nothing

The bladeshape is the perfect one for functionality.

The grind is excellently done.

It's very comfortable to use, both grippy but not painfull at the same time.

But most importantly....I got it from A.G. as a gift during my 2012 trip to Arkansas. It's one of my prized posessions.

Correction-Previously, I posted the incorrect description & pic of my most beautiful knife-Mea Culpa---

#1- Paua (New Zealand abalone)- A 1999 Case 8254SS with Case XX Shell shield- 1 of 250

#2-Abalone( Green abalone from Baja, Mexico)-1998 Case 8254SS with Case XX Cigar Band Shield-1 of 250

Both are beautiful !!

Alexander,

For me, a gifted knife means it will forever be in my collection

While this knife is a user, it's still special, and still resides in my carvin' bag.

I'd been an accumulator of knives for a long time, but it wasn't until I picked this one up that I started "Collecting".  Got purtier and more expensive knives, but this is the one.

After this one I had to get a spare, in case it broke.  Then a back-up...

And so the story goes...

Those are some dandys!

This one might scare yours away there's nothing fancy about it but I've used it alot and sometimes It gets used because I don't want to ruin my others and I know this one can take care of it.. The steel gets real sharp and stays sharp for a good time and it's easy to sharpen. The knife was old and used when I got it and I've had for long time. The blade still snaps strong and there's no movement in the blade it's still tight as can be. It's just a darn good old reliable German made Herder

Tyson, they still sell those over here. Good value for money and a classic. Almost everyone here remembers their grandpa having one.

I bet, they are good classic knives.. I like your style in the knives you make and I've herd nothing but good about them. Keep up the good work.

Nice set of Case Knives,  I like the pocket worn one from the year 2000.

Here is a favorite Case Knife of mine, it is in mint condition and the oldest Case I own. It is also special to me  because it was given to me by another Knife Collector who has since passed on. He said he had been collecting knives since he was five years old.

Case Stag Medium Stockman 53047

Herder is an exceptional steel and now you have me looking for one of those LOL!!

you can find them under Hippekniep and other names these are original German design knives in my opinion.. Case kinda stole the show in the US once they started making them and named sodbuster but the folding butcher knives, utility, farmers knives were around long before Case starting make them. They are great knives though and I'm sure the sodbuster's are too.

This is the first Buck 110 I modified. Well documented on this site. Will be passed down to a grandson, in about 20-30 years.

This Schrade 51OT from my dearly departed friend/father-n-law. I hope to have this go with me.

Lone Wolf Paul Defender - It was the first of 10 Lone Wolf Paul knives I bought. Those knives are the Top-tier of my collection. This Benchmade Pinnacle Gold Class edition was a Christmas present from my Bro-n-law. Beautiful, smooth as butter & as light as feather. I will pass this onto my Godson, who happens to be my Bro-n-law's 1st born.

Those are the ones that are fresh in my mind right now.
