The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Now to some exciting news. For those of you that have just started the journey here with us, a tiny bit of background on our next custom being offered in our monthly contest/giveaway.
Don Carter Forge very rarely sells a knife. It is a hobby he enjoys almost as much as giving a knife to a friend or a young person. The past few years have been quite an adventure for me, watching him learn to take a small piece of tool steel and make it into a hand forged knife. I always try to find something special as our Christmas giveaway and this year Don Carter has agreed to give away a knife made just for iKC.
As the 12th of December gets closer, watch here for the details and how you can be the owner of this knife, just by being online

Everyone in a frenzy here, keeping Jan busy collecting numbers, all trying to win a new knife!
Just groups for me today.
LOL, ya'll got me second guessing what day it is
We began the journey on December 12 so for those of you within the US today is day 7 and i am LOVING the creative thinking we are seeing out there. Keep it up (please)
Jan,
I just posted a reply to a discussion in the Tactical and Combat collectors group. Now I'm on the hunt for a parachutist's knife. I won't rest until I've found a MIL-K-10043.
Groups again today, and a shocking confession - I finally logged into the dreaded facebook and figured out how to post an iKC connection. I work in IT, but facebook makes no sense to me at all. Maybe I'm too logical, I can write code to do anything, I can manage different operating systems including many large Unix systems, but facebook just is not intuitive to me
On the sixth day of knife contest I tweeted out for us..... ok that worked better in my head.
Allanm my advice for facebook, run away before it sucks you in.
Good advice Michael, but rest assured, facebook will never suck me in!
It's like games, they might hold my attention for a few minutes, then I lose interest. A new language to program in, that's a different story, I have no problem getting in and spending many hours outside of work. Or more currently, watching videos of people using different tools - both hand and power tools - to make different joints - mortis & tenon, dovetail, finger joints etc. Things I saw my dad do many years ago, but had very little interest in learning at the time.
I dozed off and forgot to post the other day. Good luck to all! Have a Merry Christmas everyone! ! !
Facebooked, Tweeted, & Googled Shared,
Thanks Jan & Don Carter for the opportunity!
