Case Slimline Trapper in Armadillo

"That was a good question Kevin, and a great reply Lars.  I know they  were stabalized and encased in epoxy resin.  Like most materials I was wearing my respirator, but never thought anymore of it.  I'd asked a couple of…"

"Excellent information Lars, I was asking because I am very much ignorant of pretty much everything about it.  Cannot learn if you do not ask, right? But I do like the looks of it a lot."

Case Slimline Trapper in Armadillo

"That's a great question Kevin - I wouldn't have thought of asking. So I contacted my daughter Morgan who is an RN and asked her. She tells me that cases in TX and LA suggest that it can, but those in FL say no. I think she told me that to…"

"Ha!! Learning something new every day.   :) I did not know for sure what was meant by the bird's eye pivot.  I was thinking bird's eye maple (Why in the world would anyone use wood as a pivot?). When I looked them up I…"

"I don't totally disagree with you JJ, but as someone who likes to tinker with them....it's much easier with the 3/32" pin...LOL.  But yes, the birdseye pivot is very much a part of the soddy history and gives them that eclectic…"

"I really like the sodbuster Jr. Really nice knife for the pocket.  What I miss, though, is the birdseye pivot.   That pivot is what stands out on a soddie."

Favorite Kind of Knives
Case (48) & (07) slimline trapper and mini trapper
About Me
Married with 2 sons. I was introduced to knife collecting by my son, who was only 15 at the time, a few years ago. I quickly took a liking to the Case slimline trappers and recently got a taste for the mini trapper styles.
Interests
I enjoy looking for older knives now, pre 1980. When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my wife and boys, 18 & 16. I like to view mountain scenery and search pawn and antique shops for the "hidden treasures".
Other Hobbies
Other interests......catching a nice large mouth bass on a top water lure.
