Miss Ruth wants to be my friend???

Howdy Boys,
Been a tad remiss on checking in here -that time of year for me. But I got an email from iKnife / Miss Ruth this AM. She seems very anxious to be my friend for vague reasons, And it seems that I need to send her my email and contact info.
Anyone else had such an invite? If so, I suspect some kind'a fraud. Heads up knifers!

Sorry guys but sometimes these "Ruth" folks slip by the auto filters NING has in place. Our community watch program works well. Within minutes of Ruth "saying hello" to all y'all, I got emails from our members making me aware.

You'd be surprised the number of Ruth's I delete for spam weekly...sometimes they are machines doing the spamming, other times they are real folks trying to "market" for things.

Anyway, Ruth is gone...for now. Keep your doors locked at night and lights on. iKC is subject to bad guys just like our own neighborhoods :)

Hey guy, had the same experience and the same suspicions..
.even reading her misspelling gave me the idea of someone from eastern Europe trying to scam someone...anyone!!!

Hey, I'm really feeling left out! I didn't get Ruth's email, and now I'm really bummed out! (Just messing with you!) I received 9 copies of her email. It sounds like "Ruth the Ruthless" might have hacked into iKC's membership list or joined iKC just so she could send some of us scam emails. I didn't reply to her emails, and now, if you try to respond to her message, it's no longer a valid address. Guess she found a friend and skipped town with him/her.
Something like this happened to me a few months ago. Somebody got into FaceBook and sent out emails over my name asking some of my FaceBook friends for money to help me get out of desparate financial straits. I got about five responses from friends and relatives on FaceBook asking me if the fake email message was authentic and if I needed financial help. How embarassing! I was advised by FaceBook to change my passwords on Facebook and other websites. What a pain in the behind that was!

Not Eastern Europe but Africa and for money she will send herself???? Must be a large box and does Railway Express still operate??? Need to post a picture how do you do that???

Hey, I must have been picked for her email because I am a new member. I replied, got her picture and story about sending money for her airfare from Kenya. Since I am a retired Lt. Colonel, i just forwarded her email, i.p. address and photo to the Criminal Fraud Division of the Department of Justice. Sorry if I busted anyones bubble!
