First fawn of the season

A couple of turkeys

Some deer

Three bucks

Lunch time

There must be something wrong with this doe's left eye.  It never reflects the light from the camera.  I wonder if she is blind in that eye.

 I am NOT a Hunter......but what Beautiful Creature'Z.

I think you're right Charles, that must be a blind eye. I like that fawn - I've never seen one that small. I didn't realize they would still be that young - I don't know much about birthing times

Yes they are Michael.  I am a hunter and enjoy hunting but I also like looking at the pictures.  I leave my game cameras out year round.  Also when I hunt I always let far more deer walk than I shoot.  I try to keep track of how many deer I see during a season and I have seen as many as 200 deer while hunting.  I enjoy just watching the deer and other wildlife I see while hunting.  I have had deer within six feet of me and they had no idea I was there.  Last season I had a deer walk up and bed down just 20 feet from me.  When I do shoot one I always make sure I have a good shot and can make a quick clean kill.

I have gotten several pictures of that doe and her left eye never reflects any light from the camera.  I wonder if she was born that way or if she damaged it some how.

Here in Alabama the rut occurs generally in January.  The gestation period for a whitetail is about 200 days or 6 1/2 to 7 months.  That means I usually get the first pictures of fawns around July 1.

Charles, There iz Much to be Admired in Your reasoning.  ?Iz that Firework'z in the Background??

WOW! I keep saying I need one of these trail cams. This summer has been pretty amazing for us. We see the deer every morning but usually what we catch is the rear ends as they run away from the mineral lick after getting a whiff of 9 yr old and dog. We have the Bobwhites moved back in, just behind the house and the turkeys nested just about 40 yards below the house so we see them often also. The biggest return we have seen is bunnies. They must have bred like...well, rabbits!

Yep Michael.....The deer is watching the fireworks. I thought this was quite the photo. Taken off my friends trail cam.

Very Koole photo John. I Have been using a Friendz', MOULTRIE M888 Digital Game Camera.  I Recently Purchased My own (Cabela's). Including Shipping, it waz Approximately $110.  Workz Pretty Good for Me.   It usez Eight (8) AA Alkaline Batteriez and Require'z an SD Card, Up to 32gb.
