what do you think is cold steel's best fixed blade?

I would have to go with the trail master, without question I have never used a fixed blade that can to to what it does and take the abuse that it does and still keep its edge.

However, if you're going for a bargain i have to say that their best fixed blade is the recon tanto, a lot of knife for the money.

So what is your favorite cold steel fixed blade?

Just got the Outdoorsman in SM 3, so it's my new fav de jour. I unboxed it and cut up the fixin's for a Greek Salad, then hacked through a 1x3 knotty pine board, took 6 whacks to discombobulate the board and only had to baton once (got 1/2 way down before resorting to the club and then ran into a mother of a knot the entire width of the board 2" from the end.) After that did a paper cut test, it passed with flying colours. Then filleted a Tyee I caught the other day, sliced through it smooth as silk. Then whittled down some Hand Drills for fire making, as well as a small Kill Stick. And finally, did a hair shaving test, was like shaving with my old Straight Razor ( I shaved over one of my naked lady tattoos, so she could get an all-around tan, and the bald spot wouldn't look too odd.) With the leather case and it's stylish good looks, it's definitely a classy act..... gonna have to start wearing a tuxedo for out in the Bush. :)

It is a hard question4 me.Being a tie between my Recon Tanto CarbonV,and the good ol' Kuhkri machete.I have used both for multiple tasks, taken em thru thick and thin. I think my choice today is the Recon Tanto.

Does the Special forces shovel count?
Maybe I cling too much to the phrase "size isn't everything", but I am quite partial to the Cold Steel Spike series, the tanto and the scimitar spikes in particular. Not huge, but great cutting power and versatility.
Normally I would go with the SRK, just an amazing knife and work horse. My kukri machete is my daily hiking companion, it's simply a tank, does everything I ever ask of it. I keep a spartan in my cellphone pouch as a quick grab to back up my African walking stick in case of wild animal attack, and my ak47 has been my work EDC for awhile now. But just recently when I blew out my back and was stuck on the floor having severe spasms, it was my super edge on my keys that cut off my hiking boot so I could get my cell phone to call for help. I guess I appreciate a few of them :)
Have to be the Kobun.Lightweight, tuff, affordable, does a good job in any situation.
