Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Kenneth Daniels CEO and President of Queen Cutlery has announced effective January 10, 2018, that due to issues with cash flow, Queen Cutlery Company has been forced to cease all production and close it's Titusville Pennsylvania facility, and furlough it's employees while it goes through a period of reorganization

This is where to put any questions you may have.  ALSO, please feel free to put messages supporting Ken in this transition.  I will make sure he gets them and I will do everything in my power to get questions answered

I just read the info Jan posted on iKnife. I am deeply sorry to see this. I sincerely hope and pray that Ken & Family can put together a plan that will save the company. The Queen knives that I have added to my collection since the Daniels got control of Queen  have been of excellent quality. I also feel sorry for the employees that have been impacted by this as well.

Queen, hands down, has the most historic knife factory in the U.S. with a rich diversity of quality production for many brands. I wish the Daniels family and their employees a successful and speedy reorganization. They have been so hospitable in opening their doors to knife enthusiasts. There’s nothing like seeing the face of a youngster who’s been surprised by the gift of a “Kiddo” knife from Ken!

Stunned and sad. My pal Teddy and I visited Queen last August for their Factory Tour Event. The employees and Daniels Family members could not have been nicer. We loved the tour and learned so much. Ken took time to look over some of my pieces and confirm he made them. It was like Christmas for me.

I want to go back to Titusville again. I want to see that marvelous old factory. I want to see again how those pretty things are made.

Most of all, I want those nice people to thrive. Good luck.

By the way, the nasty comments on Facebook disgust me.

I have asked that all member questions and messages of support for Ken Daniels be posted here.  I did this because I do not want anyone to feel that things are happening behind closed doors.  Ken was honest with all of us by posting the notice and I beleive we will have the opportunity to get any answers we can.

i get proud when I look at my queen.

I meant to say queens.

I am so sorry to hear this. I know Ken and his family have poured a lot into the company and must be heart broken to have to do this. My prayers are with Ken, the family and all of the employees. I hope they are able to do something to re-open in the future. I am happy to have met Ken, Ryan, Courtney and Riley. What a great family they are.

I hope they can find a way forward.  I was born & raised in PA and have always bought more PA manufactured knives than everything else put together.  The loss of Queen and their other brands will greatly reduce that world.  I'm sure my Queen and Schatt & Morgan knife quantity is second only to Case in my collection.  I had noticed a slowing of releases from Queen, particularly some of the special releases like the Presidents Choice series and was wondering if they were having problems.

The most recent Queen knife I bought was one of the smaller Express autos with lovely rams horn scales.  I hope it's not my last.

I hope not either David.  Thank you all for expressing your concerns for the family, company and employees!

I had an opportunity to speak with Ken last week but there is nothing new to tell.  He says as soon as he can share what will happen going forward he will.  I know all of this is weighing very heavy on him

If I had won the Powerball last week, I would have happily offered to be a silent investor for Queen, and paid off all their debt.  They've been making knives longer than any of us have been alive, and I hope they continue to keep knives long after we are all gone.

It is great to see the comments on here support Queen.  Danny and I will continue to support the Daniels family, the employees, and the community of Titusville, PA, any way we can.  It wasn't until 2012 that we met Ryan and Ken and since then, like so many people who come in contact with them, they are like family.  Schatt & Morgan has always been my favorite brand, and over the past 15 years we've handled most of the Queen products, and have a shop packed to the gills with new and vintage Queen/S&M.

We've enjoyed our several trips to Titusville in August, making it a week long stay to be at the factory getting to know the employees, sell at the show, spend time with old friends, and make new friends from all over the world.  The business of Queen is in  upset and we don't know the final outcome, because as my dad often said, the fat lady hasn't sung yet.  No matter what, we will continue to promote the Queen product lines, and most importantly, support Ken, Ryan and their families.

God Bless.
