I located this set in an antique store in Wis Dells. The dealer had priced it @ book & then some. I just drooled a bit & let it go. 6 mo later ... it was still there .. a yr later .. it was still there .. I kept checking & about a yr & 3 months into it .. the dealer put everything on sale & I picked this up for ..

It's certainly one of my favorites !!!

I have a few Case fix blades. I just inherited a Case filet knife my Dad used for many years. I have an old Case hunting knife I bought off eBay several years ago. Now Case has partnered with Daniel Winkler to introduced the Case-Winkler Skinner. Daniel Winkler has produced cutting tools for over 30 years. I met him at the Blade Show last summer. He is a very gracious  man. His knives are carried by special operators from many countries around the world. https://winklerknives.com/

I received my Skinner sample a couple of weeks ago. My first impression was this knife is made by Case but has Winkler written all over it. In fact it says Winkler on the opposite side of the blade from the Case marking. The blade is right at the maximum length I like my skinning knives at 5 1/4 inches. Here are the specs:

Overall Length: 9.50 inches

Blade Length: 5.125 inches

Cutting Edge: 4.75 inches

Blade Thickness: 0.20 inches

Blade Width: 1.25

Blade Material: 80CrV2

Blade Style: Clip Point

Blade Finish: Black

Edge Type: Plain

Handle Material: G-10 green camo

Weight: 6.62 ounces

Sheath: Black Leather

Brand: Case

Model: Winkler Skinner

Made: USA

MSRP: $325.00

Can Be Found: $295.00

I too have this knife but I'm not sure if I like the sheath. The knife is nice though!

The sheath is a signature of Daniel Winkler. He makes his knives mostly for Special Forces and Navy SEALS. In time of high stress, fasteners and straps get into the way. I like the design as I climb up into a tree stand or wade through thick brush, there is no strap to hang up on limbs and if accidentally released loosing the knife.

This is just a few That I have
