Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I have a couple of Monty Bess knives that I'd like to find out about and assuming it's the same Monty Bess (how many Monty Bess's in Buhl, ID?), I see he joined iKnife a while back but he doesn't seem to be active.

I don't want to invade anyone's privacy, just wondering if there's anyway I can get him to take a look at some pictures and tell me what he can about the knives, i.e. perhaps the year(s) he made them, steel he used and his technique,  what his scales were, etc.

Over the years, a few of his knives have sold on eBay but other than that,  there is just NO information on Mr. Bess as a knife maker.

Thanks -larry-

Hello, Larry - I've been making knives for about 15 years.  I've made a lot more of them since I retired last year.  I've been showing at a few gun shows and attended and will attend the Oregon Knife Collectors show in Eugene in April.  If you'll send a few pictures I'll tell you what I can about them.  topcat_83316@yahoo.com.  Monty

Larry, I don't know if you're still around but I could probably help you on some info on Monty Bess. Yes, he's the one. I have 4 of his knives and my ole buddy that knows Monty lives close by him and knows him well.. Please contact me through IKc if you get this message.. Thanks, Ellis Roberson
