I’m having trouble sliding open great grandfather’s Zinn handle. Is there a locking mechanism I’m not aware of?

Didn't the whole handle pivot open on those?

It has been a while since I have seen one, but I thought there were like 8 tools that could be exchanged.

Can you post a photo?  Without a picture, I am relying strictly upon my recollection.  Kind of a shaky thing to do now a days.

Here’s the url of an open handle. You can see that it pivots on the back end to allow inserting the various tools. I just can’t get mine to pivot 🤔

Dang...  I really want to have one in my hands right now.   I cannot tell from the photo how that is supposed to pivot.

There has got to be something to unlatch it.

I’ve been working on it with absolutely no results. I’m thinking it’s probably frozen from lack of use. Soaking it in a solvent might help-maybe WD-40…
