Whenever I'm deciding which of my EDC blades to take with me for the day I always have a hard time choosing. I always end up carrying more than one, Five to be exact. Does anyone else have a hard time deciding which knife to carry so you end up taking more than one? If so which two do you have the most trouble with deciding on?

I have had to change my EDC drastically. The police in NY have been arresting people left and right for carrying knives. I met a man that spent a weekend in lockup for a Gerber Paraframe! He ended up having to pay a huge fine, plus court and lawyer fees all to avoid JAIL TIME!. So I stopped carrying my Emerson Super Raven, or my Darrel Ralph auto or my vintage cold steel recon 1 tanto. When I am home and can carry what I want, I carry one of those three plus a swiss army knife and in my bag I have a leatherman. I often carry a cold steel med voyager tanto. I like to have at least 3 different sized knives on me... I use them all for a variety of things...you all know what i mean...when you are a knife person... you just never rip a letter open, or a plastic wrap on anything...
I always carry a Victorinox Classic or Rambler as a small secondary knife to my main EDC whatever it might be for that day. My main EDC knives usually are either a Victorinox Compact or a Victorinox Climber.

I do today.

I've found that whenever I'm carrying something quite large (like the Sunfish lockback) I really want to have something small and dainty with me as well.

Whenever I'm carrying just a slipjoint though I never feel the need to also carry a big folder....wonder why that is.

I carry three at work, emerson super commander, tarani karambit and koji hara ichi
Days off, cold steel spartan, and either cold steel voyager, emerson a100 , cs tilite, crkt hissatsu depending on my outlook!
I like a folder in my pocket and a fixed blade on my belt. I also carry something larger if on adventure.
it depends where i'm going i usally carry three knifes at one time edc i will carry a cateye in right pocket and some time i will switch that one up it will be at least 5 inches closed and in my inside vest pocket i will carry a sog flash II and left pocket i will carry a winchester knife with money clip on back of it.then if im not going in city i will strap a damascus hunter on my belt i know it might sound a bit much but i want to be able to get to my blades in any pocket so if you can't get to one you sure will be able to get to the others...

You sound like a friend who is ret. Army Spec-Ops--Viet Nam era. He has more blades on him than a combine. His main EDC is a Spyderco Civilian. It's quite similar to the Cold Steel Black Talon which IIRC can cost anywhere from $200.00 to $450.00 depending on where you buy. Civilians are $150.00 to $250.00. But Civilians have a much thinner tip than the BT, which like most CS knives is built to take a beating. However they are both designed for just one thing...slashing open huge gaping wounds.

I carry a Benchmade #610 Ruckus and LFK, a Kershaw Spec Bump, Spyderco Military and Persian Version and CRKT Crawford / Kaspar Tac. I always have a  knife around my neck when in the shower. Yeah, I know, a little TOO paranoid, but hey, are we ever more vulnerable than when taking a long, hot shower? And seeing Hitchcock's "Psycho" several times didn't help either. LOL!  I wear a Becker Necker or a Buck Short Nighthawk.

The two I have trouble choosing from are the Ruckus, which is a big folder and the LFK, an even bigger folder, with  4.25" and a 5.20" blades respectively. But in reality, I have a hard time choosing among all of them. It's like when I open my eyes in the morning, I'm 8 years old again and it's Christmas day. And all those terrific knives are brand new and they're all just for ME...LOL!

I always carry more than one knife. Right now, I'm carrying my Victorinox Cadet and a Benchmade Mini Presidio. I'm also carrying a Fenix 01 flashlight and a CountryComm mini pry bar.

I usually only carry the Spyderco Bug on my keychain when I'm at school, but any other time I have a large knife, such as my CRKT Cruiser or Meyerco Catch Dog in my front-right pocket, and an old-timey slipjoint in my back pocket.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words...

The Vic Classic, Lakota Teal and Para 2 ride in my pockets daily. Always! Depending on my mood or destination I will sometimes add another knife. Never less. Always more.

More is always better...

Never leave home without your arsenal. I guess I need to watch that movie some day.
