I was looking thru the thread and the comments about the moose pattern caught my eye since I actually have one! It's not the fancy kind with the peacock, but it is a 1995 3rd generation USA made moose. From looking through the books, most people think that the only USA Bulldogs in 1995 were the sowbelly whittlers. The moose is never mentioned. I bought this one from a very knowledgable person on another website several years ago. The knife originally had celluloid handles which were decomposing and starting to pit the main blade. I had the celluloid replaced with white bone and the blades polished, so it is not original anymore but will last a lifetime now. Here are pics of the original knife and the new version.

My mistake, the moose is a 1996 4th generation, but is stamped on the back of the main blade "oil hardened, made in USA".

Excellent rehandle!! Good choice of materials. The celluloids were awesome materials in their time but just too risky with the rest of your knives as they get older

I watched one of those go for around $85.00 on ebay the other day. I wanted to bid, but have my money allotted for other knives. I really like that the more I see it.

I like the bone better too. With the re-handle job I've got $122 invested in it, not bad. It has been several years since I've seen one one on ebay, they just don't show up very often.
