Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I just recieved a new Spar xx doctors knife.  I got a good buy on EbaY ($34.00).  The knife is great.  My problem is do I use it as a gentleman's EDC or simly dispay it as part of my (still small) collection of Case knives.  CASE fans do you EDC any of your CASE knives?

I have these three in my EDC rotation along with about 10 others.

Always a problem,

I'll buy one with the intention of using it and then not want to, and just put it up.

But I sure get a lot of satisfaction with the ones that I use.

I get a ton more satisfaction from using my knives then I do putting them up. I would say throw it in your pocket, but I use all my knives.

I always EDC my knives be it CASE or others. Right now I have Texas Jack in my pocket.

Hello Jay , I carry a Sod Buster Jr. for a weekend/holiday EDC. Paul

Jay,

Great question.  We buy many knives that were purchased with the intention of being a safe queen and when it came in and Donnie put his hands on it, he decided he wanted to carry it.  If you got a great price on it and you feel like carrying it, carry it.  My thought process...buy what you like, use it if you want to.  The knife should be whatever gives you the most joy

My question in return is.... what do you hope for withy our collection?  Are you looking for it to appreciate in Value over time? or just to grow and enjoy the collection?....

I have gotten knives I used as EDCs and then regretted it....

I have alot of EDCs too.....

but also, I love using a good knife, and theres no way to test how much I like a knife

without carrying it for some time.

Just like J.J., I carry and use my Seahorse Whittler. You never know when the urge to whittle might strike.

And, I want to be prepare when it does. After all, isn't that the whole point of EDC, anyway -- Preparedness?

I say use it in good health, my friend. You never know when the urge to play doctor might strike, now, do ya?

Does any one else EDC a nice "Sunday, Go To Meetin' Knife?"

Let's hear about 'em and see those Bad Boyz, if ya please!

I have this one in my pocket every day.

That's a sweet lookin' little knife, Gerald! I love the geometry of that little guy! And a thumb stud, no less! Very cool!

I say life is short. Do what makes you happy. Or, if you have "EDC OCD" - see my discussion http://www.iknifecollector.com/forum/topics/edc-ocd - like me, buy one for EDC and one for the collection......IF your money tree can handle it. Mine's about dead.

No... I have collected a lot of Case knives, but I EDC either a Benchmade 553 Griptilian or a Benchmade 940 Osborne.   Love the AXIS locks... My first EDC 47 years ago was a Case Cheetah.
