johnny i of course couldnt agree more with MOP and stability.. but if i had this knife in MOP it would never get used...lol...except to take from MOP drawer and put in pouch and take to knife club too show off.... but their i will agree again...as of course i could drop it cracking he MOP...but thats MOP ya know...i love all pearls.i was just simply saying on the tradition end if you go digging tr=hrough catalogs for the knife MOP and celluloid were some of the most commonly used, their for traditional. also its one thing to work stag...it a whole other ball park to work any of your pearls.  like i said before at the end of the day...tradition meeting the new! example.. dino bone handled barlow! or a forged fixed blade with hammer marks ,yet the handles are pinned with mosaic pins!

I really like the knife the way it is. MOP is beautiful, but not always the most trustworthy when it comes to stability.

Peter, I definitely agree with you. Pearl is/was a huge part of a knife companies scale options. I have never been attracted to it in particular, but one a very classy pattern, such as a tuxedo, I could see how it would strike a nerve.

The character of that burnt stag is simply amazing.  I am still hearing Donnie say "I want that one too".  LOL, one step at a time right?
