Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I was wondering if there are any plans to continue this great line. I've collected every release so far and have been disappointed in the sporadic offerings. Seems like the last release was over three years ago.

Bill,

Great Question.  Lets see if we can get you an answer on this one

You asked if we had any questions for the Queen guys, I hope you get time to bring this up.

As I understand the situation, several designs have been submitted to Queen but the distributor hasn't received a reply. Would be a shame if this line went by the wayside.

Bill, I will certainly get time to speak with Ken and Ryan today and get us some glimmer on this one

Bill,

We have an answer.  I sat down with Ryan today and we talked a bit about this line. Schatt & Morgan Premier line will indeed continue but the next pattern has not been determined as of yet.  The line is one they care greatly about so it will not go by the wayside, it does take some time to get everything in place when you buy a company like that though

Thanks for looking into this Jan. I assume it's not a high priority because it's an SFO. The original intent was to produce 2 patterns a year in this series!

Well, it's been almost a year since I asked if Queen had any plans to continue this great series of knives. I understand that there have been designs submitted but that Queen hasn't committed to production. The original plan was to release two Premiers a year but that goal was rarely achieved and the last knife was produced years ago.

Does anyone have any information on the fate of the series? Was demand too small to merit further production? Has Queen made a business decision not to continue this SFO?

Bill,

If we dont get an answer here you can always come to the chat next month and ask Queen

Well two e-mails to Jennie Moore have gone unanswered. In spite of assurances given by Ryan Daniels well over a year ago I believe that this line has been abandoned by Queen. What a shame.

Hey Bill,

My grandfather Clarence Risner and I have pressed the issue with Queen Cutlery and Ryan from Queen said that he is hoping to start the line up very soon. I will talk with Ryan more and see where we can go with this line.

Good to hear Austin and Thank you for letting us know it is not abandoned!

So nice of you to reply Austin. This is welcome news, please keep us posted. If I recall correctly Clarence said a sleeveboard was next up. Is that correct? Please tell Clarence I said hello. Tell him I'm still looking to fill some holes in my Winchester 270 Cartridge Series collection.

Well here's where we're at. Queen claims that there have been no submissions from Clarence Risner for a new Premier. Clarence  told me that he's submitted several and can't get Queen off the dime and commit to production. There's been no further information from Clarence's grandson, Austin (see earlier post) since January. RIP Schatt & Morgan Premier. I'm done lobbying.
