Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I'm gonna ask ya'll another favor. I bought another Vintage knife and I've never heard of it before. It's marked STAR and Hand Crafted. The pattern is rare looking, a Canoe that appears to be a Moose pattern of blades. It also has a canoe on one of it's blade. Sorta, like a Case Canoe. I'll try post a picture latter on.

Ya'll might tell me, "Go jump in the lake" we just looked up a knife for that guy. It's all for fun, so please don't make work out of it. Thanks.

There was a company called Star and was based in Knoxville, TN  Opertated as Star Sales and were an importer of knives from Japan. They operated from 1978-1988. Here is a link to a current eBay listing, although a poor picture: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Knife-Old-Soldier-Made-Japan-1970s-/28...

I think the company name is still out there(probably new owners) and continues today as an importer. That time frame and the location in Tennessee tells me this may have James Parker connections.

Thanks Steve, I also found out they imported knives made by Robert Klass, of Germany. The knife I have could have been made in either Japan or Germany. With the info I've found, that's where I at with it, now. Later, with more info, might get it placed in one or the other country.

Excellent info!  By the way if the temps keep rising I might tell you to go jump in the lake and you just might thank me for the suggestion! ha. ha! All the best my friend.

Star - Knoxville, Tennessee - Star Sales Inc. Made in Japan - 1978 to 1988

Star Sales Co. - Agent for R. Klkass - Knoxville, Tennessee - Wholesale and Importer

I have a picture of my tiny Star pearl handled knife around here, but I can't find it now.

Thanks Ya'll, I new Ya'll would help me. I'd be glad to jump in the lake some days but it's to jump back out...Ha..Ha...

I was hoping it was made by Robert Klkass, since I'm an avid Kissing Crane collector. Japan is okay though, that country makes great knives.

Steve, on hot days, fishing, crabbing or crawfishing, it's hard to keep the girls out of the water. There better be an Alligator near by because their going in the water. I get nervous sometimes. My .32 Mag, stays at attention on days like that.

See that just proves you a good Paw-Paw!
