How much will all the Rough Riders cost on KLTV Friday August 2, 2013

I announced this during the last night’s chat and was not going to repeat it anywhere else but have since changed my mind.

Here is the way it works.

Estimate what you think will be the total cost of all Rough Riders are sold in the upcoming  August 2, Knives Live TV show (assuming you buy just one each of every Rough Rider Knife).  Add  $6.99 for the flat rate shipping.  Submit this grand total to me by Midnight Wednesday  July 31, 2013.

The person closest without going over wins.

For instance you assume they’ll sell a Heavy Hunter for  $16.99, camper stockman for $12.99 and maybe the new $12.99, and a Silver Select for $14.99

Add them all up:  16.99+12.99-12.99+14.99 =  57.96  (+ 6.99 for shipping)  Grand total  $64.95 You would submit a guess of $64.95.

Conditions to win:

You must be present in the Knives Live chat at the end of the show.

Your guess must be to me by Midnight Wednesday, July 31, 2013.

Person closest without going over wins. This is critical, almost every knife sale price ends in 99 cents.  Don’t round to the nearest dollar you could wind up over.  This also means that if 5 knives are sold you will be down 6 cents because of the $6.99 shipping. Remember those pennies when making your submission.  They can be the difference of being over by 2 cents or winning the contest.

Winner must be within one dollar ($1.00) to win.  This is to prevent people from making the $1.00 Price is Right bid and assuming everyone else guessed too high.

Submission can be made here, or via message to me or to my email address tobias.gibson@gmail.com

I will try to post all submission on Thursday just to keep everything on the up and up.

In the event of a tie, I’ll flip a coin or roll dice.

Anyone not associated with the shows production can enter to win.

If there is no winner, the contest will roll over to the next Friday show.

The knife must be in the Rough Rider Line.  This includes Heavy Hunters, Silver Select, the Brotherhood Series, and numerous other Rough Rider knives.  Don’t worry I know ‘em all and they are easy to spot.  The catalog numbers begin “RR”

This is being cross-posted here and in the Rough Rider group.  Remember the winner must tune into the show and also the Chat.  The show is available online.  If you can’t reach the show online due to technical difficulties you can still join the chat.  If you miss the chat your submission is null and void.

Winner will receive a Rough Rider from my collection (Yes it might show shelf-wear but it has not been sharpened It will be mint or near mint).  It will come in the original box.   Approximate value of the prize (not including shipping) Between $10 and $25.  ( I haven’t figured out which knife I’m sending, yet)

Jan can now throw questions my way for things I forgot to mention!

My guess is $69.94.

My guess is $85.93 Thanks!

Hey Dave...don't forget the shipping when you guess!! Mwahahaha

IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT!

Clarification of the Rough Rider Contest.

If they have a three or more involving one knife, the purchase is just for the one knife and not the three or more price.

If they have a three or more mix and match involving two knives the purchase price will be for each individual knives.

For instance they two knives in the silver select series at $14.99 each but a  three or more  at $11.99 each.  The price would be for 2 knives at $14.99 ($29.98) and NOT  3 knives at $11.99 each ($35.97)

However if the three or involves three knives being shown then the three or more price will be invoked

Thus  is they were showing all 6 knives in the Moonshiner series  for $19.99 each or three or more for $14.99 each. Your total would go with each knife being $14.99 and because you are buying each knife sold you would buy all six at that price (6x$14.99= 89.94)  The key is the knives were shown.  If they only showed two knives of the series, then you will buy TWO knives ate $19.99 and not the whole series.

If they having any shipping specials they will not pertain to the contest as this $6.99 was clearly mentioned in the rules.  Any other type of sales mentioned  during the show will, pertain.

YOU DO NOT ACTUALLY HAVE TO BUY THE KNIVES, UNLESS

If by some fluke, the boys show up and say “Thee or more Mix and Match on all Rough Riders. Order any Rough Rider from our current catalog or webpage tonight only at the three or more price of  $6.99 each (709 X $6.99 = $4,955.91) it will not pertain to this contest unless you actually show proof of making purchase!

Hey if they do that I would win

WHAT! Even more Clarification!

Yep even more.  People have asked so I need to answer.

The contest is for all material sold under the Rough Rider Umbrella at SMKW website.  This includes current production  "RED RYDER" knives but not the BB guns.  Daisy still sells the BB gun.  It also includes Man knives, For the Cause,  From the Heart knives.  While all of these knives lack a RR tang stamp, they do have Rough Rider Catalog numbers and are sold as a series of Rough Rider knives.

Paws & Stripes, and Brotherhood knives plus all of the various Rough Rider Series names will be accepted even if the boys fail to mention they are Rough Riders.(which is highly unlikely because SMKW takes great pride in the RR line) Why?  Because I specified the knife must be in the Rough Rider Line!

Thus you should be listening for the announcement of not only  Rough Rider but any of the series names which include  Outoddoorsman, Silver Select, Stoneworx, Moonshiner, Coal Miner, Brian Yellowhorse* Arrowhead, Battle Axe, Armorhde, Once in a Blue Moon, A Strok of Luck, Long Rifle, Rifleman, Toad Sticker, Synth Stone, Pink Lemonade, Heavy Hunter, Hunters Buddy, Ocean Wave, Ocean Fire, Cherokee Feather and any other series I can't name off the top of my head is also included. As I said, I know them all.

As I did not specify knives in the introduction of the contest an only later announced knife, it is only fair that all Rough rider products be accepted.  This includes, hats, survival whistles, umbrellas, nail clippers, etc.

Knives sold  under another BRAND name but made in the Rough Rider factory do NOT count (Remington (China), Cat Eye, Colt, Marbles, Wild Boar, American Hunter, etc)

As I said I know which is which.

*Not every Brian Yellowhorse item just the Arrowhead series he designed for Rough Rider.

Who is gonna keep track of the total amount of $ RR. ?

I'm glad Tobias knows his stuff, because I will be completely baffled.  haha  I'll take his word for it what the final $ is at the end.  Seems unlikely anyone will hit it within $1 but there may be some very good estimators here.

You just never know Carl. I am somewhat amazed and I guess amused that I at least know every one of the brands Tobias mentioned.....

It's always Interesting and fun. A good contest among friends.

Ok, how many Rough rider fans are there out there? Hummmmmm.... let's see.....way too many to count on my fingers and toes, so I'll throw out $187.76 that should take care of it....thanks for a great contest! Pappy

Nice try, Jan.  You need to be within $1 without going over!
