The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
This year iKnifeCollector is able to offer you a J.Mutz Custom.
Thanks to everyone that helped this decision happen.
Confirmed price is $112.00 plus shipping.
Payment is due no later than August 1, 2013
The body and bolsters are milled 416 the blade is 154CPM, with a 1/2 stop. It is 3 5/8 closed and it is a Stag Cut Red Bone. Because this would be custom we could not order any more than 50 knives and his commitment is that he could deliver in September (maybe sooner but that a lot to get made in a short time). There will be an iKC certificate with each knife signed by me.
45 of the 50 have been committed so there are only a few available. Right now we will offer one per member. For those of you wishing a second I have you on the list if there are still some available
I just had to share with you the warranty info on Jeff's page
It has a complete lifetime warranty on materials and craftsmanship. Any malfunction due to materials or craftsmanship under normal using conditions will be repaired for free. You can ship your product to the address found on this website but please contact us first so we know to watch for your returned item.
The "Catch" - Yes, sorry folks but we have a loophole to our warranty. The "lifetime" in "lifetime warranty" means Jeff's lifetime. Sorry but unfortunately when Jeff takes up residence at Boot Hill there will be no one to repair your product for free. Jeff's son Dylon is going to college and has no interest in continuing Jeff's business. But Jeff hopes to be able to warranty your products for many years to come!

LOLOL! Brad no package yet. Sent Jeff an email this evening and that is some awesome wallpaper
hey jan, just wondering if you have wrapped your hands around one of these knives yet? the anticipation is killing me! ;-} oh... and good morning ! lol
ROFL!! Good Morning Jeff. I have not wrapped my hands on a finished product. Jeff's wife did send me an uncompleted one that would eventually become the proto. It was unfinished and unstamped. Being 3000 miles from your maker in a project like this is tough for both sides. If he wants me to see or approve something he has to mail me and then I need to return it LOL. THAT was hard, unfinished or not I wanted to keep it. Jeff and I both agree that it is time to put these beauties in your hands. As excited as I am about the knife itself I am more excited about all of you getting your knives. AND if Donnie doesnt get a completed one soon I may end up in the dog house LOL
******update*******
I have received the first set of knives from Jeff. 5 of them. This is the responde I got from Jeff today
I only sent a few because I had a knife disappear in the mail recently. I am only able to get up to $500 insurance on each package I send so I am going to send them in batches of 5 just in case. Please contact me each time you receive a package and I will get the next one on its way. we should be able to get this done in the next couple of weeks. Sorry I am so leery about the shipping thing. I have so many hours of work into these knives and I have had such bad luck with shipping. I wish I could invent a teleportation device. Thanks so much.
I know waiting on knives is tough, mine is not in this package either. I am asking that we respect Jeff's being leary of losing these knives in the mail. He does have a good bit of time and money in them. He did these up front and I still have everyones money sitting in iKC's accounts, so we have no worries about that. They will all be here and on the way to you very soon, I will let you all know as soon as I get each package.
Thanks so much everyone, your patience and understanding is testiment to the type of folks we have on iKC. The BEST!
No worries!
I too am leary of shipping stuff!
Just got back into town today! Thanks for the update!!!
Thanks Max!
Hope the trip was great
Welcome home, Max!
That's great news and I know how hard he worked to get all these done just right. No small feat by any means. We will count the days!
I know just where Jeff is coming from on the lost shipments as I had that very thing happen not 1 month ago and it was a knife that I had made for a customer. Luck was with me but knife was delayed several days before it was found and delivered. You have my patience here Jan.
Thanks so much Jeff. I was actually thinking of your knives when Jeff was telling me about being leary. I truly understand, it would break my heart for any of them to go missing and Jeff M. is thinking of us as much as himself
Sooooo....don't keep us in suspense Jan! You've already held 5 finished knives! Are they as good as you were hoping for?
Alexander, all 5 walk and talk and they are saying SWEEET!!!
