Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

The time has come to start the discussion on the 2014 iKC knife.

I would again like to shoot for August/Sept delivery date.  Something to remember while we talk about this is that a short run of only 50 or so knives means we need to tie in with a maker that is already running a knife and tweak that one to make it our own.  The reason for this is most SFO's require a minimum order of 250 or more.  Also I would like to keep it less than $125.00 delivered to you.  I have some eyes checking out whats available at a factory or two but always love to hear your ideas.  Remember, this is YOUR knife

Here is a pic of the official annual knives we have done so far

I started collecting because I liked the stockman. I have drifted here and yon, but I'm voting for a stockman with a clip, sheepfoot, and spay blades. Ya'll pick the size.

That is a nice Scout!

That was my first choice, a Queen Scout. Real sweet and highly collectable.

my vote has always been eather the scoot or barlow done with the mammoth bark scales by queen

elbin, that is the jr scout, which is a smaller version of the scout. It is a current run. as far as mammoth, that is a horse of a different color ! ;) with all the hoopla over ivory and elephant ivory.. i think that would be a dead issue. but you never know ! i would think that even if the new ivory laws didnt go thru, mammoth would drive the price up over a buck and a quarter. I guess thats up to everyone and Jan tho' . I just saw that little scout jr. and figured i would throw that linnk in for consideration.. I still would go for a barlow also.and I'm sure I would go for several other good ideas also. :)

i do love that GEC harness jack..believe an 85 is the #. Ron mentioned earlier, and a few others. I do like the stockman, but I myself was hopeing for something a little more off the beaten path. I wouldnt mind a barlow, but a 2 blade preferrably. I'm more or less typeing thoughts, in the end, I'm up for whatever wins the vote. I wouldnt mind seeing a middle sized toothpick either!

Mammoth Bark? Not gonna happen for $125. Multiply by 3 or 4 times and you might be getting close.

Jeff - I like the idea of the 2-blade Barlow.  Someone had previously mentioned Canal Street knives as a possibility, and they have an AWESOME stag handled one for right at $125.  For something really cool and different, Ka-Bar has added a super nice 2-blade Barlow to their "Coppersmith Dog's Head" line (saw it in a recent A.G. Russell catalog, and on Ka-Bar's website), and it is well under $100, which would allow for some nice customization for the ikc.com club knife. Also, whoever keeps mentioning Mammoth Bark handle scales - that's not going to happen for anywhere near $125. Tuna Valley's 2013 "Sway Belly Trapper" with Mammoth Bark handle scales was $500 at Frank's Classic Knives.

Jon,

I agree that Mammoth may be tough at our price point.  I cannot thank you enough for researching those Barlows!  I will be checking into them

I wonder which pattern and brand has the most votes right now? I am sure we will hear a lot more opinions, though.
