An early Morning at SMKW with the Case Forum

I don't know if you have ever attended a Case event but the early morning line up is as much fun as the event itself. I did not want to wake Donnie up early so I hitched a ride with Ronnie Newsome and his wonderful bride!

The knife talkin' & swappin' going on before 8 am is made fun by the love of knives hanging out on this porch.

So here is a few few shots of how SMKW gets set up for an event like this event and how the line looked before the doors opened.

There's my friend and neighbor Ronnie! Glad he could give you a ride! He and his wife are great people!! As are all the Case forum folks! I've made some very good friends there.

Ronnie was like having a conversation with an old friend I had never met! How wonderful was it for them to pick me up at 6am so I could be a part of the early morning crowd!

I wish you could have been there with us also!

My son and I were there too. I'm in 2 or 3 of your pictures. My son is a member of the CCC Forum. I got some good deals there too. I do agree, Ronnie is a heck of a nice guy.

I'm in the 5th one down on the right of the pic (you can see my side) my son is in front of me with the forum hat on. Also the 11th pic down I'm right in front of you leaning on the rail. Not sure if we spoke or not. This was the second year in a row that we've come down for that event and left with some good deals and giveaways both times. We also came down to Norris a couple years ago for the Case reunion and had a wonderful time. In the grand scheme I'm really green when it comes to this knife collecting. I came into it from sharing my sons passion for it. Knife collectors are great people.

I won't be down that way for a while. We plan on going to Blugrass again in September for the Case event, Anthony and his gang do a great job for the knife community.
