Nice Craig. I think we lucked out on the curly maple ones. I have been seeing quite a few of them with virtually no figuring at all! Your brown corn cob looks sweet as well. I contemplated one, but the ones I've seen don't look as dark as yours and somewhat resembled my orange corn cob. I may have to keep looking.
Thanks Dennis!
Looks great Dennis! I just got my Seahorse with Seahorses too. I agree, it's definitely a blue/gray. Also just got my Antique bone Snake Skin.
Glad I am not alone Craig! I kind of view it as a design a seahorse collector just ought to have!!
Craig .... lookin' good, but I knew they would!!! The snake skin looks exceptional against the antique bone color. Couple things I've noticed looking at them online. I've seen people refer to these as both snake skin AND Diamondback. What does your box indicate, if anything? Also, I have seen that on these the mark side pattern is totally different from the pile side on some of the pictures I've come across. Is this the case with yours?
Thanks Dennis!
I THINK "Diamondback" is the correct name. I just used "Snake Skin" because that's what I saw somewhere. The box is just marked "Antique". I THINK these were SFO's for Dead Wood and they call them "Diamondback". I'm doing too much thinking, I have to go take a nap. LOL!
The back looks like the belly of the snake and is not buffed as much to reveal the fine texture. They all seem to be that way. Maybe that's the way the ones these were made for (Dead Wood?) wanted them?
I really like the Snake Skin/ Diamondback. And the shield goes good with it because usually when I see a venomous snake in the woods I shoot it. LOL! I'm bad.
Regardless of the name ... I am really liking the design, especially on the antique bone background.

Well Craig .... you've convinced me. I just saw some out with scrolled bolsters! Where's my CC?!!!!!!!
I'll be anxious to see your new one/s!
I just ordered a 2009 chestnut Pine Cone bone. I always liked that series. I have a couple of other patterns in it.
