Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I was helping my wife clean out our room today when I found a box of knifes from my father in law.  Found these 2 really interesting ones that were from his uncle who brought them back from over seas during WWII.  I figured I would share.  Pardon the mess, took these quick while I was cleaning.

Thanks for posting this Kit, you know I really wish we had more of those WWII era knives posted. they are something to see!
TY, its hard to tell but the little wood handled knife is actually a gold color, the blade is that same color as well.  It is hard to tell cause it blends in with the desk so well.  I will try to get better pics of it when i have a better surface to put it on. There is also an inscription on the bottom of the handle just below the wood that says Thailand.  The other has an inscription on the main blade that says stainless with a picture of what appears to be a katana under it.  I will get better pics of that as well when i can find my macro lens.
really nice knives i am likehog i like seeing those knives from another era.thanks for posting your finds...

We never get too many WWII knives posted here so thought i would add mine Kit. Its A Cattaraugus 225Q, sometimes called the Quartermasters knife. this was purchased from an iKC member whose Father carried this.

Kit,

Those are really cool.  The older knives are always a joy to see

like the one in photo #2, any markings other then the metal stamping?

Sorry steve, but the only thing on there is Thailand stamped on one side.  I will try to get some pics of it shortly, been extremely busy as of late.

@hog  Love that Cattaraugus 225Q, I have seen only one before and it was my grandfathers.

Are you still looking Kit LOL ?

Anybody else with WWI or WWII knives to show, I am feeling in the mood for some after watching the movie SGT York today. That;s right Alvin York an American war hero.
