Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

My options are somewhat limited here in the UK, and as far as I can tell, they seem to be the most reputable website for me to buy from, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting in contact with them.

I ordered a knife on Thursday evening and got the email confirmation for the purchase, but later noticed my bank card had been blocked, so I wasn't completely sure if that transaction had gone through. I've since sent them about 2-3 emails and had no reply whatsoever. Their website says they're pretty speedy at getting in touch so I'm wondering if my emails are going into their spam folder or something.

Does anyone know if they're a reliable business? I can't see any reason not to trust them, but this lack of commuication is starting to make the whole experience a little disappointing.

Midian,

Check out this link to BKGC reviews.  (Don't look good.)

Oh wow, I wish I'd done a bit more research now! I'm still not sure if they got my money, hopefully not.

Thanks for the link. I don't suppose you'd know how I can find a reliable website for UK deliveries? Ordering from international sites is generally riddled with customs problems and hidden import fees so I really need somewhere local that clearly understands UK knife laws. The main issue with that is a lot of  the websites around here seem to be selling cheap and badly made tools.

We have many members who live there and I will ask and see what they tell me Midian. They are all good collectors so quite certain they will have a reliable source.

Thanks for the help Steve. I'm currently looking at heinnie.com, they have a much better rating on the review website and a nice range of stock too. Thinking about making a purchase there later tonight.

Terrific, can't wait to hear what you buy! If you are any good with a camera, pictures would be great too! (Also feedback on the vendor is good too, ship promptly, good packaging , customer service etc might help somebody else)

NOOOO from what I understand they're pretty much the biggest scammers in the knifeworld in the UK.

I hope they didn't get your money. You're MUCH better off spending it at Hennie Haynes or Mikesknives or Mindyourfingers or a couple of other seller.

What is it you're looking for though?

Don't worry, they didn't get my money! It turns out that trying to order from them is what set off the fraud protection on my card, so HSBC/Visa have likely encountered issues with them before and put them on the blacklist.

I'm not looking for anything in particular. I won't be using the knifes as tools, just for display in my collection, so I really just want the largest and most varied range I can find. Must be good quality though, obviously!

Largest variety:

For GEC knives in the UK:

If you're making a  purchase with Hennie Haynes send me a PM I have a code for a discount I think.

Regards

Alexander
