Hi,
I wonder if anyone knows what I can put on French Maple Wood (Stabilized) to make the wood show its beauty and protect it.
I was thinking of using Linseed oil.
Thanks,
Alec

I believe that the wood being stabalized will prevent the oils penetration. I would progressively sand the wood with fine paper,(320 to 400 to 600, etc) and then finish with a clean bluffing wheel with green rouge. It should shine like crazy. Hope this helps.
Hi,
Thanks. It ended up that it is actually walnut, not maple. I did sand it up to buffing paper. I dont have a wheel so I did it by hand. I put some Teak oil on it and it did soak in a bit. Darkend it too, it looks really beautiful.
Thanks for answering me. You are the only person that did.
Alec
