Want a really cool iKnifeCollector logo'd shirt?....I promise it won't be tie dye :)

I'm exploring with a company that produces knife company and club clothing about the particulars for an iKC T-Shirt.

I'll get the details and I'll be back. In the meantime, if you would be interested in purchasing a iKnifeCollector logo'd t-shirt, then indicate so in a reply. Some clothing firm's won't require a minimum order, others will, so I just need to get the details (sizes, costs, colors, etc).

I'm stuck in the "research" mode, if you want to know the truth. I need a vendor who will handle total e-commerce-Design, fulfillment and shipping. That's what we need.

There are plenty of online and offline shirt companies, but we need one to offer different types, sizes and can handle all aspects of the transaction online for our members simply to click a few buttons, enter their credit card info and then the shirt of their choice, size, color, type then arrives at their door step.

Once this type firm is identified, then the "design committee" will get busy to get the different iKC shirts selected.

If anyone has used a shirt provider with this capability, let me know.
ATTA BOY scott, just keep hanging in there. We,ll be there when you need us! I think we all need a club T-shirt! Go for it fearless leader. Have a great week. "Lonewolf"

Cool store Max, though I didn't peg you to be selling "Teddy Bears".
Zazzle.com has about the same arrangement in creating an on-line store. Captain Jeff has some Zazzle products on his website also.
I'll email you cause this was the storefront I have set up an account for....just didn't have a real logo designed and wasn't able to find someone to do it for me.

I'm glad to know it is easy- that I need :)
Thanks Max
Not bad there JJ. Like the cup.
We're coming up on the "One Year in Planning" point.

1) Is there anywhere here on the iKC website where "official" digital logo files are available?

2) I haven't looked into it, but WHO started (owns?) iKC. Are "we" cleared to be making and selling T's?

I went down the print your own T-shirt road a few years back and it's the need to have so many different sizes that kills the idea of pre-printing a bunch of just one or two sizes and then taking orders. Most suppliers will have minimum orders PER size.

3) Cafe-Press certainly has staying power -- they've been around since Day One. They offer lots of options but it LOOKS like the usual $25 price for a men's dark T drops to $14.85 if you order 12-17 , and $11.33 if you're ordering 24 shirts -- you can mix shirt types and sizes. BTW, white shirts would be cheaper and there seems to be an extra $charge for sizes above XL.

It seems that shipping is free if you're okay with a 14 day turnaround. Of course, if one of us ordered 24 shirts, for maybe 16 iKC members, there would then be the expense of packing and mailing "individual" shirts out to those members.

That really doesn't look too bad. On an order of 24 shirts, with the "ordering member" charging the co-op "members" $7.00 per shirt for S&S, that'd still only be $18.33 ($11.33 + $7.00 S&H) -- not sure if the USPS "Flat Rate Envelope" can be used to send things as bulky as T-shirts -- guessing you could stuff 2 T's into a 9.5" x 12.5" envelope.

That's versus individual members going to the Cafe Press website and paying $30.00 ($25.00/shirt + $5.00 S&H).

Whew! Please refer back to questions 1) and 2) :-)
I would like to suggest that we number the shirts as in a "limited edition" maybe shirt 1 of a 1000? This way we could look at it like an investment. I would be able to explain the cost to my wife "honey when I die you could sell this shirt for 10X what I paid for it" this is what I've been telling her about each knife I've bought. So far so good, but I think she has finally figured out that I will want to be buried with my collection. Hell I could even be buried wearing my new iKC shirt! put me down for one shirt, XXX large!
I'd be interested in a 3xl T shirt. Most any color would do; even tie dye . Prefer that it be a color and not just white. Thanks!
Did we ever decide to go ahead and have these made?

Well Jan- Yes and No. It was decided we "wanted" them, and I set up a CafePress online store, but got bogged down with the necessary graphics. A regular JPG file format doesn't reproduce very well, so images need designed and saved in PNG or a higher quality format. Anyway, details, details.....

Honesty with my real job I can't say right now I have the time to get this over the finish line at the moment though, but it is only my list.

I am currently looking for a member with Adobe Photoshop. It is my understanding that they can convert jpg to png. So if there is an original image you can save as png and get the high quality for printing. I don't have what is required nor does our resident graphic artist JJ so I'm asking around for a volunteer so we can get er done.

Thanks Hog - guess what? I have photoshop :)
I got hung up with creating images we'd like- I stuck the one up you saw just for a test. Then it got serious- creating actual ones I thought our members would want- I did have a size issue too, now that I think about it. I just need to take a day to work on it and then finish setting up the shop, and then linking it to iKC. I guess if I need anything it is images, either in high res jpg or png format- folks can email to me directly Scott@iknifecollector. I know I'll blog on it to ask for submissions. Keep pushing me :)
