Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I acquired a collection of mostly case knives but there is one Bulldog in the bunch and a couple of Rough Riders that I don't think have any value but was wondering what would be the best way to find a value and where to list them for sale.  I am basically a gun dealer, though I do like to collect a few knives but these were a part of a gun deal and would like to at least pay for the gun. I have 13 Case in all, the oldest appear to be  from the 93-99 period on up to recent production. Two have Mother Of Pearl scales. The knives are all new unsharpened  but the boxes he sent them in don't match the knives. Out of 13 there was one that appeared to be in the correct box.  Any ideas how or where to proceed with these?

Curtis,

Jan Carter, the Chief, CEO, President, etc. of iKC usually scrolls through new topics here, depending on her schedule and workload.  If you don't get a reply about selling your knives here, from other members, you can send Jan a note describing your situation.

This is the Trapper that has the original box I think. It says Waterfall SL on the label, Blue sleeve on a large black presentation box. Then again, the box says XX Select and not sure the knife has the right shield. It really would have been great if this guy had sent all the right boxes.

John would be a better resource than I.  As I recall, Limited Edition knives came or come in a blue sleeve, but the Case Select knives (paper in the back of the box) has nickel-silver liners and pins, whereas the Limited Edition knives have brass liners and pins.

Curtis-If you want to sell them all at one time-http://www.blueridgeknives.com/knives-wanted/. Their ad is at the bottom of the main page here at IKC-- Jan Carter says they are very fair in their dealings and prices offered. If you want to try and offer some here, type in  " knives for sale or trade"   in the search box in the upper right hand corner on the main page.- It will take you to the proper section. I see that both pearls have serial numbers on the bolster which indicates they are limited editions, too. Also one of the toothpicks is serialized. The one you called a copperhead is actually a small coke bottle pattern, also called a swell center jack with unusual handle color. The Case trapper is a Case Limited Edition, also not a standard production knife. In short, just about all of these are limited edition knives, and more valuable than you might think. If you are in a hurry to sell them, use Blue Ridge. If you are not in a huge hurry, I will try and research some more of your collection for you.

Curtis,

Yes, you certainly can reach out to BlueRidge and tell them Jan sent you from iKC.  If you choose to list them here, there is a forum for it http://iknifecollector.com/forum/categories/knives-for-sale-or-trad....  Not a lot sell here, because it is just not a sales forum.  If you list them here, let the Case Group know about them.  Just put in the link to the sales discussion.  PLEASE be sure to let us know if we can help with anything

Howard....Thank you!!!!!!

Thanks, you guys have all been a big help.

Thanks, Jan.  I went to the "knives for sale link" and clicked "follow" so I'll get notices, and can find it easier in the future.

Ok, so I talked to Blue Ridge and we just couldn't quite come to an agreement so. If you find the time and don't mind, any help identifying these would be greatly appreciated.

Curtis-This is a year 2000  model 6254  Rogers jigged burnt white bone trapper- 1 of 2500-Limited XX Edition- The shield is correct-Case called it a car bar shield designed for their Limited XX Edition knives. The correct box for this knife would be a dark red cardboard box that had Case over the words Limited XX Edition.  I see them being offered currently for around $90-- Subtract a little from that for not having the correct box & paperwork. BTW, have not seen any actually sold at that $90 price.

I believe this is called a barlow?

Curtis- You must have deleted your photos of this one, but it looked like this -Yours is a 1999 (1 dot) model 610096 with a  double oval XX shield and smooth bone purple appaloosa handles. This was an exclusive SFO knife sold by SMKW (Smoky Mountain Knife Works). Both the handle color and the shield were exclusive to SMKW. Fairly scarce and a beautiful knife.- Sells currently if you can find one for around $60-70.
