Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Yes, it's that time of year again- time to take inventory of our knife collecting/using hobby to see if we need to make some changes or begin anew in some areas.

Have you thought about it yet? Well, if you haven't now's the time!

If you had to name one Knife New Year's Resolution, what would it be?

OK, since we typically don't like making changes and particularly making resolutions, I'll lead by example and start us off-

I RESOLVE: to refocus on my elephant toenail collection by not going astray following trendy/cool new designs and customs (sorry custom fans). Over the years, I've "invested" too much $$ & time playing in an arena that has kept me from my passion- my pursuit of good OLD elephant toenails!

Oh, that is depressing....

its so defeating to see a "great" knife on the computer(arty photo),and receive it,and its a DUD.

That sounds cool. Please do finish it...I'd love to see what it looks like!

I keep putting it off, but I know its needed and that is a storage cabinet. SO....

I resolve to complete the knife storage unit with drawers. Made from a old 60's console t.v.

dark walnut wood.kinda french looking.

Until late this last year it's been many years since I really added anything to my collection.  My resolution is simply to add to it.  I finally got a new good folder and replaced my tanto I've been missing for many years.  This year I hope to add much more and enjoy doing that with my girlfriend as she expands her collection.

Well then, is she a member here? :) We have dozens of lady folks who are iKC members, fyi. We'd love to have her here too.

I've been putting it off for a while but I'm going for it this year!! I'm going to have my buddy build me a Custom Corner

Display Cabinet.  I'm trying to decide what wood I want him to use but it will be 6' tall. 3' wide in the front with 4 glass double doors. I'm going to getter done this year!!

Did I hear someone say "toenail"? :)

Until the September of 2010, I hadn't bought any knife for 2 years. This year,I will at least add a knife to my collection every two month. In the first half of 2011, I will be focusing on waki sized blade, buying at least two more wakizashi  to fill up my sword display.

I resolve to expand my japanese style this year!!
