Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

OK, so by now we all know the chat is down.  I have passed the frustration level and now think we should just have a little fun with it.

So tell what the first thing you would tell me in the chat, if it worked.

One entry per person

Everyone is eligible

Contest ends when we get the chat back...that's the fun part who knows?

I have a brand new Case Paste for our winner!

I was going to have a contest where we all chose a date and time but I figured I would have to watch it every minute to see if it came up LOL !

Have some fun, tell me a story, zing me a one liner...here I sit waiting for the site to be fixed

Jan, I guess I would say what I say to my daughter when she tells me she is going to do something.  "It's about time!"  LOL

Hot spit.. The no chat room is back up, I guess. If anybody has used it, I sure missed out.. Out of over 2000 members, it looks like more than the usual 4 or 5 sitting there would come and join in and we'd all sit together !!!!!!!!

Tell Donnie I no longer store my good slippies with the blades open, (as per his sage advice), there will be no sprung springs here, (say that three times with your mouth full).

Whazzup with chat?

The first thing I would say is "Hi Jan, how are you?"   :-)

Then I wold hopefully say "I just posted some photos of a new knife I got / completed"

Actually, I do have a new one I forgot to talk about - my former Ranger friend brought a knife back for me from Ukraine - all black, with etched designs on it, wood scales, nylon sheath with Ukrainian text on it, also Ukraininian text and logo etched on the blade. I need to get some photos to show

My daughter got engaged! !!!!!!

BTW: I'm putting a table top locked, mirrored display up at a local antique store in July to sell some of the "other" knives I've accumulated over the years while on my Buck 300 Series quest, worked out a consignment deal with them. Small display, enough room for a dozen or so slip joints at a time, (also have a bunch of Zippos and other "smalls" to sell). Gives me an excuse to go out and find more knives, (how's that for justification?). I'm still working on the display cabinet, found a nifty one on Craigslist made outta solid oak. Still needs a lock, but already have a cabinet lock that will work, just need to find my hole saw. I'll be sure to post photos when I get it together.

I have been talking to myself now I see someone , yay!

sometimes the only good conversation is when you talk to yourself.... I figure that way I'm right half the time.

You know it's all mind over matter; if you don't mind, it doesn't matter. Been doing too much work.

I tell people I talk to myself when I want an intelligent conversation!  LOL

Hey gang, I have finally completed the purchase of 2 knives I have been searching for, they were needed to complete a set of 3! Here's the twist, they're all 3 the same knife! A Western 648A. Each one is used but in very good condition with original sheaths, which is why it took so damn long to fond them!! Lol
They are in no way highly prized or rare, to my knowledge, but the original I have was one my grandfather let me use as a child and left me after his passing and my two sons love it! So I have searched for some time to find 2 more that I could present to them as gifts! I just had to tell someone and this is the one place I KNEW where my efforts could and would appreciate the effort! Now on to the next treasure hunt!
